Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
There are reports that this is getting close to being made; Gonzalez would be moving up a division to take on 35-0 (27) Cuadras for the latter's WBC 115 pound title.
Thoughts? Sure, it's not Inoue or Estrada, but Cuadras is legit top 3 at the weight and a very solid fighter, so I would be quite happy with this.

Slightly bummed Gonzo isn't gonna clean out 112, but Cuadras is a damn good opponent who will give him a stiff test.
Re: Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
suppose this will set up an inoue fight nicely, need to get a move on though before inoue outgrows the division
Re: Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
I've watched a couple of cuadras fights.
This is a very good fight IMO no one should complain.

Exactly just hope Inoue gets a real solid fight next didn't watch his last one though but I think he has a date set in September.littlepug wrote:suppose this will set up an inoue fight nicely, need to get a move on though before inoue outgrows the division

Cracking fight.
I rate Cuadras and is a big test for Roman stepping up.

That was meant to be a shrug, suggesting that I was fairly indifferent to this fight.crusader wrote:?
I'd have preferred for him to stay at flyweight and unify, but this fight is okay.

Don't think much of Cuadras personally
Re: Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
Gonzalez is on his way up and putting his ass on the line. He's got the skill to do it, too. Don't mean to get too far ahead of myself here but fighting and beating Rigondeaux would put him in legend status. That fight needs to happen at some point. As far as Cuadras, Gonzalez will be tested but I think he's just too much for Carlos.
Re: Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
good but risky fight for him
Re: Roman Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras
Checking the web things are looking good for this one.
I've only followed Gonzalez since he beat Yaegashi for the WBC flyweight title.
Is Cuadras his best opponent ?

cant see him in with rigo just too small, i think superfly is the heaviest he will go, the heavier he goes the more i favour inoue if they fightjbizzle20 wrote:Gonzalez is on his way up and putting his ass on the line. Am I the only one who favours Cuadras in this one?
