No Heavyweight is Calling Out Ortiz..Why?

Post by bnovelist »

Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Haye, Briggs, NOBODY even mentions Ortiz's name! NONE NADA!!! When you see his highlights he's a DESTROYER

bigtime and has that mean staredown. Any of ya'll think it's comical his name doesn't come out of anyone's mouth? He's the most entertaining

Cuban fighter we have seen he's not a Rigo or Lara he's a Mike Tyson.

because they don't want their butt's whupped.

I think Ortiz would probably beat just about anyone out there.

None of the big names will fight him until he's over the hill. He doesn't bring enough cash to the table for any of them to take the risk.

His only possible chance is to get a mandatory, and then if someone swerves it, fight for a vacant belt.

Too much risk for the AJ and DW but Haye and Briggs, Briggs, really? He would take it for the right price I would imagine but after he sees Haye. Haye would to possibly. I wouldn't mind seeing Ortiz versus the winner of Fury/Wlad the money and interest would be there for this fight. But it is too soon for AJ and DW unless Ortiz does fight and win the HW title then the two would quickly call him out...heavies are shaping up some.

Ortiz is not going to get a title shot period. It just won't happen... It should... But it's the "Business" of Boxing overruling the "Sport"

It's not just because he's good it's because for how good he is there'd be little to be gained in beating him and he's not a big payday.

No ones calling him out and HES not exactly calling anyone out either. Hes not on youtube/media speaking in his native tongue about who he wants, hes just quietly ageing fighting once a year at this rate.

Whos he got this year? Ustinov? Im not talking about a bum, like whos a SOMEONE hes got?

The top boxers are keeping busy fighting somebodys..
-Joshuas fought Breazeale (his hardest or one of)
-Parkers fought TAKAM (thats a proven name and Parkers fighting 4 times this year)
-Wlad has got Fury
-Wilders got Arreola
-Povetkin is looking at Wilder for this year

If I were De La Hoya, I would have spent 200,000 on getting Oritz an English Tutor a couple years ago... He'd be speaking English well by now and he probably has a very good personality---but right now nobody cares about him... It's not enough for somebody to be a great fighter... Ortiz is probably one of the 3 or 4 best Heavyweight boxers of all time... but nobody will ever know it even though he looks real good right now... He'll never get a chance at a top fight... EVER!!! ... Not the way they're doing it with him.

Peter Fury in a recent interview listed Ortiz amongst the fighters he felt were in Tyson's radar should he beat Klitschko. He said: Wilder, Ortiz, Joshua. He also said Tyson would be around for years.

Tyson Fury has also been talking about Ortiz even before Ortiz beat Jennings, he was saying he was probably the best heavyweight nobody had ever heard of.

If Fury keeps winning, he'll fight him.

Down with that. Fury v Ortiz would be good but only after we get a stay busy fight for both and I think Fury v Briggs would be a great idea to create awareness for the showdown...

One of the things I like about Fury, he chases the other top fighters in his division. Hes not calling them out from afar, he gets up close and personal.

And Ortiz will get a title shot because lets be honest ...there is a reason why his fights are televised main events.

ortiz is in a very small club, the clubs name is "most avoided boxers" club: ortiz, kovalev, bertebiev, ggg, rigondeaux are part of it. boxers who are to athletic, to strong, to fast, to techniqule or just all 4 in 1

The only seven names that matter at heavyweight, in no order are: POVETKIN WILDER FURY PARKER JOSHUA WALD.K. HAYE. Sorry..Ortiz not in site per accomplishments. I have LUCAS BROWNE OVER HIM ("accomplishments"). And..both BROWNE and ORTIZ work holding "bogus credentials".

HE DOESN'T SELL ANY TICKETS OR PPV OFF HIS OWN BACK - WHAT DOES HE BRING TO THE TABLE?

he does everything well - really good feet imo he is quite difficult to hit once he respects his opponents power.

Why would you fight him?

Ortiz has accomplished more than Joshua though. Jennings is far better than anyone Joshua has faced.

Luis Ortiz has his next fight's already planned and provided he wins, the next fight is determined, so no point in calling him out. Should he not oblige his WBA contract he will be stripped of his interim crown. If he comes through Ustinov he lands a fight determined by purse against the winner of Fury-Wladimir.

Yep, like we agreed above he's pretty active. 4 fights in the last 12 months but for 2016 he'll have 2 fights. All facts.
