GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
I was watching seconds out on youtube the other day and hearn has said he was close to an agreement, the contracts are wrote out all they need is to be signed. He also said it was gonna be on sky ppv,do you think this fight is ppv worthy on its own? Im sick to death of this muppet putting shows on ppv. He will be the death of boxing on regular sky

Depends how stacked the undercard is.
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
There's no way the money both would want for this fight would make it possible to be on a normal sky Saturday night card. Id have no issue with paying for this event either to be fair.
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
If and when....This fight is a PPV event for me.
I personally cant begrudge that.

Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
I think this is ppv worthy and will sell very well
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
this is a fight that wouldn't happen without PPV so i'd be happy to buy it .it would be interesting to see how eubanks reacts once GGG hits him it's one thing trading with british level fighters and a completely different thing being hit by GGG
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
Just annoys the sh1t out of me that every month or every other month thers a ppv, fair enough id probably buy this one if they didnt have joshua vs martin and joshua vs breazeale on ppv the last few months. Ill still get it anyway if im honest just to see what advice english gives junior cause with him winning a world title 19 times he will know what to say when junior is getting the stuffing punched out of him
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
I wouldn't mind paying for this event with a half decent undercard. That being said I think I'll try and get tickets for this one.

Totally agree, I'm happy to pay PPV for this. Even if Eubank Jr is outclassed it will be entertaining and I always enjoy watching Golovkin, it's a treat.

i'd go if it's in london ,the only problem i see is i think it could be football ground fight not wembley but say 30,000 but we're in july already and it would need to happen within 2 months because of the weather and i don't see that happening

Looks like they are settling for the O2 and hope to make the money up via PPV.
I'd personally try and watch this one live just to say I'd seen GGG in the flesh.
I have no problems with this being on PPV. Only way we get GGG on these shores at the peak of his career.

Yeah if it isn't in a big stadium tickets will be near impossible to come by unless you're willing to part with funny money and I wouldn't pay anything over face value.stevedoc wrote:Stuarty30 wrote:I wouldn't mind paying for this event with a half decent undercard. I hate the 02, unless you've got money to burn, then you're miles away from the action. No way would I spent 200 quid plus to see GGG.PredatorHayds wrote:Looks like they are settling for the O2 and hope to make the money up via PPV.

The best boxing venues are smaller than the 02, the MEN arena, or the MGM grand garden arena are good examples.
Once you get over that size then the action becomes too remote. I'd say 25000 capacity is about the limit. The 02 is too vast, even though it roughly same capacity as MEN.
I do think boxing needs purpose built arenas, as concert halls and stadia are too big for a sport where you can't really see the action clearly from far away.

Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
The Froch Groves Wembley fight seems to have given Eddie the daft idea that virtually every world title fight featuring a British fighter can sell out a football ground.
Eubank's profile will have been raised by the media vultures circling around after the Blackwell fight but your average British sports fan would be hard pressed to name him if shown his picture and I'd be surprised if your average UK sports fan has even heard of GGG.

Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
GGG could make a few quid over here once people know who he is, eubank, saunders, groves, degale and smith could all be future money spinners if he builds his profile
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
To bring over the big names nowadays, you need PPV. GGG v Eubank jr is an interesting fight, more so then any other Golokin fights.
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
Of course Eubank v GGG is going to look worthy of PPV after the bar was lowered was lowered so much for Joshua, Brook and Bellew.
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
Get GGG v jnr on PPV, stick brook v Vargas on the undercard, not sure who else would be free to fight, you could almost bet Eddie will try and get George groves on the card as he knows he sells tickets and PPV. Groves v smith maybe. But I cannot see it happening
Re: GGG VS Eubank jnr ppv?
Ye groves sell's 70-80,000 on his own so its best they have the fight at wembleynitro5912 wrote:Get GGG v jnr on PPV, stick brook v Vargas on the undercard, not sure who else would be free to fight, you could almost bet Eddie will try and get George groves on the card as he knows he sells tickets and PPV. Ggg is the best boxer in the planet...
I love boxing and I'd pay double ppv to watch him box Eubanks in the UK no problem

I'll buy this PPV.
I'm sure the undercard won't be as "stacked" as some of the sh*tter headlining PPVs, but there's been so much stick for lacklustre undercards of late, I don't think they'll dare (even Eddie) put on anything quite so terrible for a while.
