I don't think Kovalev carried Chilemba...but I don't think he was in killer mode for this fight... I think he wanted to test his endurance, go 12 if possible, and do a lot of boxing and scoring. He had plenty of wind and finished the fight strongly. Chilemba has never been stopped.

I thought the mix of judges was curious and I don't agree with any of their scores... They were giving Chilemba anything that could be interpreted in any way as close -- especially the Hungarian and American.. It's interesting when you have 2 North Americans and a Hungarian judging a Russian.. Kovalev dominated the ring space and landed the better and more damaging punches throughout, but Flores found 4 rounds to give to Chilemba.. It would be interesting if Flores or Enyedi wind up judging Kovalev-Ward.. If one judge has a 9-point spread and one judge has a 5-point spread it's already a red flag for a fight like this... If the fight were closer and harder to score it wouldn't be a big deal, but for a one-sided fight it is.
