Where is joe going to be in September? A week apart smith has the Canelo fight and crolla has the linares. If he opts to go out early with smith then he is neglecting crolla somewhat. Even if crolla went along it wouldn't be great for him with the flight and sparring arrangements. And then if he stays with crolla as long as possible he is neglecting smith as he will need to acclimatise and should be out there early

There's no need to go over there a month before the fight, as long as it's far enough out that they can shake off the jet lag, acclimatize, adapt to the time difference and make weight there's no issues there. If Liam heads out there 10 days away from the fight then Gallagher follows a couple of days later there won't be any problems for them.

To be fair, I have knocked Joe in the past but his training credentials are right up there and so is his Cv now. Like him or not the guy is a great trainer. He deserves credit!
