Kiwi Robert "Butcher" Berridge is the short notice replacement for the Injured Chad Dawson as Eleider Alvarez's opponent on the July 29 Adonis Stevenson - Thomas Williams card.
That Alvarez had prepared for a southpaw in Dawson probably played a role in Berridge being offered the gig.
Alvarez-Berridge is a 10 rounder at a 180-pound catch weight, and will air on Spike TV in the US.

He did well to go the distance with the highly ranked Alvarez. I thought the judges were generous to him giving him rounds, I thought it was a shutout personally, but he made a good fight of it and landed his share of overhand lefts in some rounds.
