What IF: Leonard - Pryor
There was much anticipation for a Leonard - Pryor fight but it never came off.
I believe Arguello - Pryor I showed us what would have happened if there had been a Leonard - Pryor fight, Sugar Ray by way of KO; the clean solid right hands Arguello landed in the late rounds, had they been delivered by Leonard, would have knocked Pryor out.

This is EXACTLY why I don't like 'light" and "super" divisions.
Having weight classes every 5 pounds or so keeps great fights like this from happening.
I'd guess Leonard in a Great Fight.

Pryor was an animal at his best and will go down as a Great HOF but SRL will go down as a Legendary HOF Leonard by un 15 dec.

Leonard for me. I can't decide how but definetly Leonard.
If Arguello troubles Pryor then Leonard definetly beats him.

Re: What IF: Leonard - Pryor
WIth all due respect, you guys are overlooking a very important variable:
Who is in charge of mixing Aaron Pryor's "water"?
Just kidding, I love Aaron Pryor. But, it's hard to envision him winning here. He was an excellent puncher, but Ray was bigger and
took a punch very well. So many built in advantages for SRL, I think he would really have to fight a dumb fight to lose..
I would have to go with SRL by UD, with some competitive moments in there...

I think it would have been over way before that, gilgamesh. Sugar Ray by KO by round 10th or 11th.gilgamesh wrote:Leonard by decision in a good fight.

You may be right. I wish we could've seen this fight so we wouldn't have to speculate on it.elmersalsa wrote:I think it would have been over way before that, gilgamesh. Sugar Ray by KO by round 10th or 11th.gilgamesh wrote:Leonard by decision in a good fight.
