If Kovalev lands something big early he could take Ward out of his rhythm. If Kovalev let's Ward establish a rhythm it's going to beat a long night for him.
I think the winner of the fight will be determined in the first four rounds. Who can dictate the pace. It's a distance fight.

Thats a good point about wards rhythm and if he gets hurt early. I could see either winning, and that's an important x factor

If you are smart with your money, don't bet against Ward. Just saying I think he will find a way to win. Also keep in mind I rarely bet on anything, so by all means bet the farm on the Krusher if you want!
Ward by unanimous decision. Tears will flow, excuses will be plentiful, and a deep depression will set in. I imagine one or more of the affected will go full retard (it's historically unavoidable) but as the result has time to marinate and butts unhurt, people will give credit where it's due.

I'll take the same result, and it will be a fantastic result for Ward, but I think Kovalev is a bit overrated. A lot of people have him right up there in their p4p lists and I just don't see that level of ability in him. If he can hurt Ward early then obviously he has a shout but I think Ward will be too canny for him. I'll be supporting Krusher though, he's a lot more entertaining than Ward.
This is the best fight of the year. No match up in the world is goin to be better. I am a huge fan of both, but Andre Ward all the Way. He's an artist. More complete and a better I Q. This is goin to be like Crawford vs Postol. Kovalev is only basics and scary power but no real skill. And I saw a video clip on youtube that maybe Kovalev gloves are loaded. Just think like this. If u have a son, and u must teach him to box. How will train him? Kovalev or Ward style? Which are safe? Lol. Please reply on this

What if Ward loses? Will some people go insane or become suicidal?
...I expect a close fight with Kovalev being the aggressor, Ward on the defensive working effectively behind a jab...will be a lot of close rounds depending on which style you prefer...defensively minded judges will give it to Ward imo...
I'm also expecting Ward to fight extremely dirty, like he did against Kessler. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Kovalev gets some bad cuts in this one...
Though they have different arsenals inside the ring, Ward and Kovalev both have to be the guys moving forward and, though I HATE this term, walk their opponents down. This is what I find to be the most intriguing factor in this fight because I can't see either guy retreating in my minds eye as I imagine how this fight will transpire.
I feel that skills will prevail and as much as I hate to say it, Ward has the bigger toolbox. He's got more backup options and tricks to turn to in order to find a way to win. Kovalev is a HOF'er to be IMO opinion but he fights one way and one way only and up until this fight, no one's tested him enough to consider fighting any other way. Ward will exploit this and I feel that Kovalev will frustrated and confused throughout this fight and the difference in skills will prove to be lopsidedly obvious in Wards favor.
Ward should win with a unanimous decision but will have to withstand some tough spots in this one.
