I think they were planning on announcing his fight for the undercard of Fury v Klitschko. I guess it's difficult to announce a fight for a card that isn't confirmed yet.

Why isn't this guy fighting?

Shouldn't he have to fight a mandatory challenger soon?

Langford is ranked number two, I imagine if he gets past Eubank he will get BJS.

I am surprised they haven't tried to make that fight an eliminator.

Bill's wasting his peak years waiting around for the "right" fight.

Winning a belt has done his career more harm than good given that it seems to have given him and FW an inflated sense of his market value

I'm not getting my hopes up for a good opponent when/if he does announce one. It'll probably be Max Bursak.

Anyone else get the feeling billy Joe is doing an amir Khan?

Sitting around for the big money fight to drop in his lap rather than go out and get it by beating all comers??

Saunders was offered a massive fight at Upton Park against Golovkin and a career best payday but refused, then he was offered Rosado,Monroe Jr or Stevens on the Smith/Alvarez card and he refused that too, stating that beating them would do nothing for his career, maybe he's waiting on Bursak getting fit again so he can fight him at the Copperbox and really gatecrash the P4P rankings

Its a shame because Saunders has one of the best CVs in the UK for what level he's at,he took on all comers at domestic level and beat a solid world champion in Lee and has barely been troubled so i hope he doesnt go down the Wazza WBO route and defend against stiffs

Given the number of fights that he has backed out of this past year, I imagine most middleweights would rather not be offered the fight for fear of being messed around.

Hopefully its the Bursak fight rescheduled,i mean c'mon, fighting Rosado,Stevens or Monroe Jr on the Smith/Canelo bill wont do him any favours but a fight with Max will catipult him into the stratosphere

It'll be interesting to see who he fights. After declining fighting Golovkin for the offer being too low and then declining the fights on the Canelo undercard due to the proposed boxers not having good enough records it doesn't leave a great deal of potential opponents.

I'd expect a reasonably unknown fighting with a good record on paper. Akavov? Khuntsidze? Brant?

That guy would be a bloody brilliant fight, he's a fornicating handful for anyone. Don't think BJS would willingly face him

Should he? I think it'd be a huge disappointment if he did. Far happier if Golovkin called out Canelo, or announced if the Canelo fight isn't made next he was going to 168.

GGG Saunders holds zero interest to me, personally

In the post ring GGG vs Brook interview I wonder if Sky will ask even him about Billy Joe Saunders with the whole Matchroom tie in. I agree, Canelo would be the fight that gets everyone excited properly way more than BJS.
I certainly couldn't see Saunders getting the fight in the UK, as GGG will quite rightly expect similar money to the Brook PPV and Sky wouldn't let Frawnk W put it on SkyPPV. Saunders would have to fight in the States.
I really don't think Saunders is in any way wanting to fight GGG. There was a press conference a year or more ago when they were walking about a proposed Saunders vs Eubank Jr II , and Saunders said to Eubank that he was delusional calling out GGG as GGG would beat both of them on the same night.
I actually think Eubank at that stage saying to himself in the World that he could beat GGG is a more positive mental affirmation than in public claiming you can't.

On slightly different note - anyone know why Andy Lee hasn't been out since the last fight either?
