Chacon illustrated the best and the worst of boxing. He was in more than one fight of the year. When Schoolboy fought people watched because it was sure to be a bloody battle to the finish.

Chacon had an unbelievable series of wars with Limon and Boza Edwards. The only way to deal with him was to stop him or keep trying to the final bell because he was coming to beat you down.

Chacon's was a tragic story seen too often in boxing. Success, excess, family tragedy, economic collapse, health consequences from the sport and early death.

Bobby, in several ways, is a poster Schoolboy of boxing.
