Buncey said last night they were gonna show Yarde's fight tonight so hopefully we'll see it later,i only seen the KO so i never seen how he was performing up until the finish but it was in the 1st round so not too bad i reckon,he looks a bit special him

I just watched the KO again on Twitter but its only working on my phone so i cant post it here but its a left hook that does the damage, its not showing the replay but from the clip i see,im not exaggerating but it looks one of the sweetest left hooks ive seen,it looks a nothing punch, just a little short counter but his opponent went limp on the ropes,he didnt go down but he was spent

The replay might look different but if not then Yarde's power looks incredible

That was an early Benn like hook.

Love the "walking away cos i've finish- hang on, he's still vertical, i'd better go back" thing :-)

Cracking punch.

don't know much about him but he is short for a light heavy which may cause problems as he steps up, could he make super middle ?

Have to wait and see what he has once the standard of opposition improves but he is doing what you expect a proper prospect to do - bang then out impressively at this level.

I remember the Fraudley early days, how I would pick apart his early fights and some (casuals) would say he was winning all his fights and I would try to explain that a future World Champion would be smashing living fcuk out of that level of guys, not struggling and huffing and puffing with Negus and I think it was Krence. Not bloody points wins but bouncing them off the ropes for a highlight reel.

Interesting Nigel Benn comparison as that left hook did have shades of an early Benn KO and also they both Ilford boys. I will watch this lads progression with interest

OK he is listed on boxrec as 6" but I am sure someone said he was 5"9 which is more what he looks. strong guy though for sure

He is 5ft9/10 my cousin trains in the same gym as him.

Does anyone else think all that muscle mass might give him stamina problems down the stretch?

He weighed 185 in the weigh in I think he's huge for light heavy but apparently has said he thinks he could make super middle

He's going to look good fighting bums who doesn't, not very tall but obviously power packed, lets see when he faces something that actually breaths.

He is 5.11 or 6ft (as listed). I've been training at the same times as him for at least a couple of years. Even when sparring partners are putting it on him he doesn't seem to show the variety and sharpness that he has in the fights I've seen of his, which must be a good sign

He looks shorter than he is because he is so wide. With his build I'd have thought cruiser would be the lowest he could make. That he'll make Lhw without Ill effects is shocking. Ovill is in the gym too and is nothing like as big despite campaigning at cruiser.

He weighed in at 185lbs for this fight.

He is very raw. And Ive only seen 100 or so live fights.

But his power was like nothing else Ive ever seen at a fight, save perhaps Keith Thurman.

My first impression is that he looks overly muscled to me.

The opponent looked like a fat middleweight.

Granted it was the first I've ever seen of him, but so little happened it's hard to comment.

But fair play to him, that's nice gig to get on indeed and let's hope he's actually good down the line. I didn't see any resemblance to David Haye though at all, completely different style.

Has scary KO power at the level he's fighting.

Be interesting to see if he keeps the KO ratio when his opposition starts improving.

Very exciting to watch though. I'm a fan.
