Liam Smith is Open To Taking a Kell Brook Showdown

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Liam Smith would be open to an all-British showdown with Kell Brook.

Who wins?

Some on here have said Brook will lose at 154 no matter how many top fighters he faces and end up just moving down to welterweight again.

Are Hearn and Warren on good terms?

Sky Box Office? allegedly ppv?

Hearn would jump at this fight, it's an alternative to Khan-Brook, although Khan has more star power than Smith.

Anyone know how long Smith has left on his FW contract.

Bet Hearn would love to do a outdoor show in Liverpool with all brothers on the card.

I've been thinking this for a while, no doubt he'd come up with another cringe name for the event

Brook is a level above in my opinion, and should win by late stoppage or wide points.

It's amazing what a defeat can do for you.

Prior to having his face broken by Golovkin, Brook couldn't get a fight on a games console; now, all of a sudden, everyone from Conelo to my next door neighbour's cat is open to fighting him!

Kell needs to lose more often: he'd be a very rich man indeed! :witzend:

I wonder, with Kell being uncertain about moving back down to welter, if Khan would now try and fight him. Get him in a dehydrated state? For a world title.

Presuming there was nothing more attractive out there for Khan.

Liam Smith might see Brook as an easy fight and Brook might see it vice versa. Unless it's a draw, or they have a tune up fight, one of them will have 2 losses in a row. not that it will be the end of their careers, but they will need to start from the bottom again. When you lose once, you can always have another big fight, but lose 2 in a row, and you're at the bottom

I think 154lbs suits Brook. (I think he could win a title at 160 if he doesn't fight GGG again)

I also think he is considerably better in almost every department than Smith

Wonder what Gallghers take on this fight is .....Well its a good fight for Liam , he's such a happy chappy in trainin just lately , he has been smiling and everything , that means he's focused ,, so if it happens it will be great, we' can sell out Anfield or Goodison park ... I mean Its a blown up welterweight fighting Liam who's been smiling in the gym , which means he's switched on , Its perfect for Liam ...... It will sell out a football field , i mean you'll have 4 000 will make the journey up from Sheffield to watch Kell ... Liam and his brothers will bring 20,000 and another 40,000 mancs will travel up to watch me .

That will be 64000 that will come ,, 64001 if i give our kid a free ticket ,, that will be mental , and if we win it means Mayweather will come out of retirement , it will really set Liam loose amongst the big boys ,, Not only that i know how to beat Kell its easy ,, we plan on surviving you know , with the double cover and walk up and get smashed ,, and if were still there after the 7th rnd , we'll try to knock him out ,,, You know just like we did with Canelo ,, only trust me this time it will work , then we'll have a remartch with Canelo or maybee Floyd it will really put us up where i want to be.

I'd favour brook to win, he's got a better all around game, and I think he might even hit harder than Smith.

It's disrespectful to Kell Brook to suggest that someone like Liam Smith might beat him.

Liam Smith wasn't even a credible British champion. He never beat a British level fighter for that title.

I'm sick of the hype for that guy on here.

I think they could do with taking on a fringe world contender before that fight, win or lose it'd look better for both if they were coming off credible wins.

Seems like a solid fight though.

common theme i'm afraid . Many disparaging comments about many , many people have come straight from the Horse's mouth .

It's a shame really as he obviously knows his onions but I don't think he knows any other way .
