Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers
Thought this would be fun and interesting. I was wondering how a long of a list we could complie of fighters (who are eligible) who are not in the International boxing Hall of Fame who have beaten at least two fighters who are in. Here a few to get started:
Ernie Schaaf -Beat Max Baer, Young Stribling, Jimmy Braddock, and Tommy Loughran
Johnnie Risko - beat Tommy Loughran, Mickey Walker, Max Baer, Jack Sharkey, George Godfrey, and Paul Berlanbach
Mike McTigue - Beat Tiger Flowers and Paul Berlanbach
Andy Price- Beat Pipino Cuevas and Carlos Palomino
Lets add some and see how many we can get.

With more generous scoring Rocky Lockridge could have had a handful

Soldier Bartfield has newspaper decision wins over Harry Greb, Jack Britton, Ted KId Lewis and MIke Gibbons.
Joey Archer beat Sugar Ray Robinson and Dick Tiger.
They were the first two that came to mind.

Re: Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers

Re: Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers
There are lots and lots (probably hundreds!) non-HOFers, who have defeated at least 2 HOFers.
Fritzie Zivic alone lost to 19 different non-HOF opponents, who all beat at least one more HOFer:
Kid Azteca
Pete Head
Cal. Jackie Wilson
Cecil Hudson
Freddie Archer
Ruben Shank
Harold Green
Jose Basora
Freddie Cochrane
Mike Kaplan
Milt Aron
Tommy Bland
Cleto Locatelli
Chuck Woods
Joey Ferrando
Eddie Cool
Billy Celebron
Johnny Jadick
Jimmy Leto

How could I forget Jimmy Leto, quite possibly the best eligible fighter not in the IBHOF. He beat Battalino, Zivic, Bass, Burley, and Wright
Think Bert Lytell beat a few as well.

Off the top of my head, Rex Layne beat Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott.
Pat Lawlor beat Roberto Duran and Wilfred Benitez...back to back.

Re: Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers
- Battling Jim Johnson KOed Wills, copped 2 decisions over Jeannette, plus draws against Jeannette, Langford and Jack Johnson.
He beat the holy jack out of Johnson though and deserved the win. I believe that was the first title fight to use judges, and the French true to form gave us a our first farcical decision.
34 of his 79 bouts against HOFers, about 45%. Had he been correctly awarded the Johnson win, his career would have improved and maybe he doesn't pass prematurely at barely 30yrs with a large lot on this forum singing their hosannas in soprano.
Gonna have to look far and wide to top Jimbo.

.
I wanted to play and could not come up with a single name - so I went 'surfing' (no one says that anymore) in BoxRec and tried to find one - and did:
Eduardo Lausse 75-10-2 62 KOs 3 KOed
UD in 10 over Gene Fullmer - 1955
PTS in 12 over Kid Gavilan - 1955
Won South American middleweight title (6/56) - lost title 4 months later (10/56)
Never heard of him; pulled him out of my 'boxrec'

My favourite for this list : Irish Pat Lawlor beat Wilfred Benitez & Roberto Duran
Re: Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers
Perhaps Brian Nielsen... He was ready to fight any top fighter... as long as the opponent was at least 10+ years past prime and was ready to go to Denmark
.
Technically Shannon Briggs qualifies in similar way.

Re: Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers
More modern-timers :
Uriah Grant over Matt Saad Muhammad & Thomas Hearns
Harold Petty over Daniel Zaragoza twice + Hilario Zapata
Jose Luis Ramirez over Edwin Rosario & Pernell Whitaker (officially, anyway)
Antonio "Mochila" Herrera over Ismael Laguna & Joe "Old Bones" Brown
Alfredo Urbina over Joe Brown & Jose Napoles back-to-back
little further in time there is just plenty of those who beat a duo of Jimmy Carter & Sandy Saddler :
Larry Boardman
Joey Lopes
Paddy DeMarco beat Saddler twice and added also Billy Graham.
Armand Savoie
then George Araujo - substitute Carter with Joe Brown
quite forgotten Del Flanagan actually beat four HOFers in Sandy Saddler, Beau Jack, Willie Pastrano & Kid Gavilan...
As a conclusion - numerous, numerous of these fighters in earlier decades. Since 60's (as fighters fought less career fights and were more protected) it becomes a rarity although still not a miracle to find one.
