Juan Carlos Gomez:
Accolades:
Was ranked The Number One for 19 consecutive weeks (week 8-26)
Finished 2nd place in The Super Six.
The only man to defeat RJJ in the Super Six.
Held all four World titles.
Joint most wins this season (31 victories)
Achieved a 24-fight win streak.
Belts:
x3 time WBO World Champion: (weeks 10, 21, 37)
x2 time WBC World Champion: (weeks 8, 37)
x2 time IBF World Champion: (weeks 26, 37)
x1 time WBA World Champion: (week 37)
x2 time Lonsdale Champion: (weeks 26, 37)
- Never ranked low enough to contest the minor titles which is undoubtedly a further testament to Gomez's legacy.

Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
An excellent fighter, but not HoF worthy for me.
Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
No
No Record, No Hall.
No Record, No Hall.
Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
Hard to say without his record.
I'm saying NO
I'm saying NO
Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
For exactly the same reason that I gave Joe Calzaghe, I can't vote Gomez in;
NO from me.Crease wrote:We at Don Krease Productions always prefer to vote 1 fighter in to the HOF per season, it makes the Hall all the more difficult to get in to.
With that said, we are looking at RJJ & Evander as the top 2 candidates...
Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
I'll say no due to lack of record.

Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
From what I've gathered from his fights with guys whose records are there he has had a good season. Saying that, really the only difference between his season and Ward's is that JCG was luckier with the judges and didn't fight Holyfield, Calzaghe and RJJ as many times. So it was a good season, but not a HOF season AFAIC.
Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
There were 10 Managers last season.
6 of us have now voted NO - so even if the rest vote otherwise, the majority rules - so Mr Gomez will not be entering The Hall on this occasion.

Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez

Re: HOF nomination: Juan Carlos Gomez
