I know there's some people who don't like it when we discuss boxers purse's or financial status so I suggest you stop reading now
I was having a chat about last nights fight (& the ensuing pantomime) elsewhere & a mate reckons that Bellew hasn't earned too much in his career & needs a fight against Haye to survive.
I would have thought he'd have done well in the latter Cleverly bout as well as the Rocky thing & he's had a fair few decent fights in the last couple of years, each one should have earn't him 100k or more - or am I completely over estimating how much he gets for each fight?
I'm sure he's done ok but I bet there are plenty of footballers who make more in a week that he's ever earned for a fight. A ppv fight would make him "life changing Money Koogs"

Given that Hearn has heavily hinted that Bellew v Cleverly 2 did better in PPV buys than Frampton v Quigg then if we assume that Cleverly and Bellew owned the show then I'd guess both Clev and Bellew took home more than a million quid that night.
If you are main event in a PPV show that doesn't bomb in ratings and the split is 50-50 then surely you have to be on more than a million quid.
The only situation that I could think of where he didn't earn a packet from that night is if him and Cleverly didn't 'own the show.' I guess that may be a possibility but I do think I remember Hearn saying that was the model used for that fight.
