Why Tyson Was The Greatest Fighter That Ever Lived

Post by bnovelist »

His loss to Douglas EVERYONE in our entire neighborhood was in blazing devastating shock of what just happened. Mike Tyson losing a fight was like

the greatest upset I've ever seen in all of sports. RJJ or Mayweather losing still wouldn't have stacked up against Mike Tyson losing.

I was an aspiring 17 year old amateur boxer when Tyson got beat and can honestly say that I was absolutely stunned ! I didn't have sky so didn't see it live but the pictures in the papers were jaw dropping with Tyson on all fours, apart from the highlights on the news I had to wait for the fight to come out on video before I saw it !

Just me talking, but I wish all the mods would slap each other every time Bnovelist posts. Horrible, horrible trolling. Is your sense of humor more twisted than most? Do you think it draws fans to the site? Please.................I have seen many people banned for much, much, less. He/She is about as far out as most want this forum to be. Just saying...

If your splitting hairs.. Then that fight should never have been a loss, watch it back and look at the long count Douglas got away with, shocking for a fight of that magnitude!

Tyson has always claimed that he was screwing Japanese women left and right during training for that bout, and was infected with gonorrhea.

Supposedly this social disorder weakened him substantially to the point where he was just a shell of himself.

Remember, however, that in boxing, there's no excuse for not having an excuse.

Buster was awake and well aware what was going on the moment he hit the canvas he would have beat the count anyway he hit the canvas with his glove because he was mad at himself for getting caught with the same punch Tyson tried to land a few time's during the fight.

Tyson fans will cling to this BS forever I guess. Buster followed the referee's count and got up at 9. He clearly had his sh*t together and could've stood up at 4 if need be.

Louis always took a group of women to his training camp. Did not hurt him.

Probably because he actually bothered to train while he was at it.

That's a myth anyway. Old time trainers started it to keep their fighters angry.

The count of 10. The rules say the count of 10. 10 seconds is never mentioned. The count for both fighters was consistent.

Louis didn't have any competition close to Buster Douglas's ability... Louis was fighting the Tony Galento's.. Red Burman's.. and Jack Roper's of the world.. His deplorable "Bums of the Month" wouldn't have gotten within 10,000 miles of a World Title Shot at any time since 1990.. Except for the 2 challengers Tommy Morrison fought.. They were outrageously bad and one of them knocked Morrison out.

I wasn't surprised that Douglas won... He was bigger, taller, faster, stronger, smarter, more skilled, but usually a lot lazier than Mike.. But for that camp Buster shook off the laziness.. What angered me was not seeing that upset coming from 10,000 miles away.. It's one of those forehead slappers.
