Porter at 147 is more dangerous than anyone Garcia fought, ever. Chaves hits harder than DSG, clearly. DSG power is vastly overrated, his timing and sneaky shots are what make him good. And the fact he was a massive weight drainer to keep fighting smaller guys at 140 is interesting, no wonder he has avoided anyone with any kind of power since he got his ass beat by Herrera. Clear robbery, and ran from a rematch. Jesus that is one of the biggest bullshit posts, you'd need an old priest and a young priest to cast the bullshit outta that one. Danny is getting the shit beat out of him, he might be standing in the end but I doubt it. Swift will be known as Twitch after this fight.

Nobody is going to sleep.. Thurman suffered a massive head-butt swelling in the Guerrero fight and still won every round. He put The Ghost down for a 9-count.. Were it not for the headbutt Thurman would have stopped RG.. He was being cautious.. Garcia could barely get a win over a badly trashed Guerrero after Thurman beat the tamales out of him.. Garcia is the king of the Welterweights who can't box a lick.

I like Danny Garcia and he did a brilliant job versus Erik Morales...a guy who was more wide open than Guerrero... If you're an aggressive Mexican, Danny can knock you cold... If you're wide open and defenseless chump like Amir Khan, Danny will beat your brains in and bomb your head off... If you're a left hooker like Matthysse, Danny will hook you to pieces. I was surprised he didn't stop Matthysse -- but he wasn't throwing very hard. He can do better in a rematch.

But what Garcia can't do is box... He has no stance.. He has no jab.. He has no defense.. He has no right hand counter.. I hate Lamont Peterson, mostly because he can't box well or defend himself well -- but he beat Danny Garcia.. That fight just showed all the technical deficiencies Garcia has.. If Floyd Mayweather were to choose an opponent from all the top guys who he could beat for his 50th, it would probably be Danny Garcia.. Thurman has a nice jab and good timing.. He has a nice, short straight right that really hurts you.. He has damaging short hooks.. He can defend himself.. He has good movement and combinations.. He stays busy ... I don't see a KO.. I see 118-110 X 3.

Forget that left hook to the liver that Thurman caught.. That happens to everybody but he didn't go down.. Maidana caught a similar liver shot from feather hitter Amir Khan. Maidana went down like a sack of potatoes. Khan couldn't follow up. He's the lamest finisher ever.. It's like Mayweather catching 2 hard shots from Mosley and going rubber legged all over the ring.. Mosley didn't follow up well.. Shane was dumbfounded that he landed something big on a defender as good as Floyd. Mosley had his head up his ass for a second.. You can possibly keep 90% of your opponent's punches off of you.. The other 10% will hit you if he's any good.. You pray nothing lands real cleanly -- but if you fight long enough, a tough shot will get you started in one of your fights.. There will be a close call---guaranteed.. You are right. DSG's strength has always been the "sneaky" left hand. There's power as well in it but he snaps it rattlesnake quickly from crazy angles. His right has always been standard. Powerful but nothing sneaky about it. But now he's throwing both hands like that and he's sneaky as hell right now. Like Canelo, he's setting up big shots with sneaky faints. A novice wouldn't notice this stuff so i'm not blaming you for it. In time, you'll develop an eye for the intricacies of the sport perhaps.

Thurman's chin will be exposed in this one unless DSG goes to the body first to get him out of there. We all know that Thurman can't handle a body shot. Pillow hands Luis Callazo almost got Thurman out of there with a body shot so there's multiple ways DSG can end this one early and i think that he will.

Collazo landed a perfect shot and Thurman took it and didn't even go down. Then Collazo quit, something he's never done. Porter and Garcia are two totally different fighters and styles. I don't think Porter is a better boxer or puncher. His main advantage is the pressure he applies relentlessly. Garcia was supposed to get a beating by Matthysse too. I favor Thurman, but in a close fight. Not an easy fight for either. Thurman can always get on his bike if he has to.
