Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Sam Bowen's manager has offered Ronnie and his team a winner takes all fight. Will it happen???? I for one would like to see it as it'd be a great scrap.

I thought Sam was a light weight?
Good fighter nevertheless

Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Carl has been very disrespectful saying that Ronnie is scared to fight Sam. He also challenged Maxi Hughes. Ronnie was not handed straight eliminators or fights just because he asked on Twitter. Carl could of gone about it the right way and I'm sure if they are willing to come to Scotland this fight can maybe be made in the future. Sam firstly has to make weight. His lightest so far is 3lb over the Super Feather limit. He should maybe fight for a area title first.. You have Zelfa Barrett in a similar position and Andy Townend who is English Champion. No offence but Ronnie is looking to be in bigger title contention.
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Just daft sitting calling out someone like Ronnie making out he's scared, and thing is if Ronnie is to agree I bet they would refuse to come to Scotland so they want An opportunity and to pick the terms. 2 fighters who are in position for a British . As david says why not go maybe English title v Townsend or area b Zelfa Barrett and both would be doubled as An eliminator. Or try being a
Proper manager and asking the board to make an eliminator rather than Twitter? Then the fight has more substance.

Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
How the tables have turned lol, I remember the days when it was you and your brother chasing people down on social media trying to push for a big fight. You win an eliminator and a Scottish belt and now you think you can call the shots and nobody should be calling Ronnie out?? loldaviddee wrote:Carl has been very disrespectful saying that Ronnie is scared to fight Sam. I agree that saying Ronnie is scared is just stupid by why was it good for you and Daviddee to call out fighters on social media but now Ronnie wins a fight the same can't be done the other way? 3 words come to mind Pot, Kettle and Black
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
You have to learn the pecking order.. I'm pretty sure we got nothing from asking. Carl can call out who he likes and anyone knows Ronnie would fight him no problem but maybe he should try making weight first. Like I said fights available at the level he is at. I'm sure Andy Townend and Zelfa Barrett would take the fight.. If they are that desperate Cacacae is needing an opponent for next week.mainman1 wrote:How the tables have turned lol, I remember the days when it was you and your brother chasing people down on social media trying to push for a big fight. Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Who did we call out? We usually spoke about opponents. Never did we chase down an opponent who had a clear different route and was opponents such as Roberts jnr who had a good ranking. My point is Carl grieves being disrespectful to a fighter who would fight anyone. I'm sure if he keeps ready and when Ronnie next fights in Scotland and they need an opponent they will get the offers that Ronnie has been forced to take. But to go fight someone with very little to offer for poor money as an away fighter.... cmon we had to learn the politics the hard way
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
I like Ronnie and have spoken to him at shows in Glasgow/Edinburgh, I like his attitude and you only hear good things about him from the guys involved in boxing but Jamiem and daviddee (I believe you are his brothers?) have never done him any favours on social media. You can deny it all you want but that is the truth and if I am right in saying it there has been instances where fighters wouldn't fight Ronnie off the back of comments made by yourselves on sites like this one. You two don't do him any favours and why have enemies when you can have family like you
Anyway I wish Ronnie the best going forward and hope he finally gets that British Title shot, time isnt on his side at 31 but he seems to live in the gym and that will help him. With the fights he has taken on the road he certainly deserves to be in the mix at Super Feather

Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Haha that may well be true. Ask anyone whose met us they will tell you most things we do and say is just for banter. We stick up for our brother as anyone else would do. We admit we didn't understand the politics that's involved in boxing. Ask anyone who has been involved with trying to match Ronnie. They all say the same that it's hard to get him fights. As for calling out fighters the main one was Roberts Jnr and I stand by that fight should happen. We pushed for the rematch with Walsh and Hughes because both said they wanted it but these fights didn't happen for whatever reason.. With family like us who needs enemies. We are real people we are not sheep who follow the crowd we do what we want when we want. Ronnie has a great support network around him and that includes his family.mainman1 wrote:I like Ronnie and have spoken to him at shows in Glasgow/Edinburgh, I like his attitude and you only hear good things about him from the guys involved in boxing but Jamiem and daviddee (I believe you are his brothers?) have never done him any favours on social media. Anyone who takes anything we say about Ronnie on here serious or do not understand when we are winding people up need to get a sense of humour.. Boxing is not everything it's just another sport.. Stop taking life so serious you will never get out alive

The first time Ronnie made 9st 4lbs was ryan walsh which was masters title fight the lowest b4 that was 9st 8. So bowen weight sudnt b a issue yes Greaves hasn't gone about the right way but u say Ronnie chasing bigger titles imo his in limbo at the moment. Maxi mandatory cacace Deffo in front of him. So it cud b a long wait unless Ronnie gets picked as a voluntary. Memory blank who holds commonwealth title maybe theirs an avenue. Imo he wud b better off in tougher looking fights than 1 round blow outs. I'm sure board wud pass it as a eliminator
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Tend to agree with this.mainman1 wrote:How the tables have turned lol, I remember the days when it was you and your brother chasing people down on social media trying to push for a big fight. If you are that confident then box the lad, beat him, get paid, get a nice win and move onwards and upwards - what is the problem ?
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Well here's somebody who does want to box him - so, what is the problem ?daviddee wrote: Ask anyone who has been involved with trying to match Ronnie. They all say the same that it's hard to get him fights.
Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Ronnie is not available to fight.. He has other obligations.. If Carl wants the fight go through the right chanels. He should maybe remember what happened to him when he fought a Scotsman it was night night in a routine win for AAA. This fight would go the same waybripez wrote:Well here's somebody who does want to box him - so, what is the problem ?daviddee wrote: Ask anyone who has been involved with trying to match Ronnie. Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Ah right - so for the last few years you have posted on here saying that you are being avoided and can't get fights, as soon as someone volunteers Ronnie is suddenly unavailable ?daviddee wrote:Ronnie is not available to fight.. Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
He hasn't volunteered and there has been no offer made.. Do you want Ronnie to cancel his plans and fight someone just because his manager asks on Twitter?? At least if we ever said anything it was always backed up with an offer. I will repeat Ronnie will fight anyone. Mark Dunlop is Ronald's manager and he decides who and when Ronnie fights. He will go down the route which is best for Ronnie. He is the man to contactbripez wrote:Ah right - so for the last few years you have posted on here saying that you are being avoided and can't get fights, as soon as someone volunteers Ronnie is suddenly unavailable ?daviddee wrote:Ronnie is not available to fight.. Re: Ronnie Clark v Sam Bowen??????
Thanks mate. We knew for a few weeks but Ronnie I insisted on Aberdeen so had to get that out way without cuts. Hes in the shape of his life working every day with a trainer. Hopefully he will pull it off and show the talent we have all seen in the gym
