What do you think about this potential match ? It would be very interestig, some kind of last chance for both fighters.

A Cuban v a Russian? Hmmm, that is interesting. How can we Americans rob them both at once? I am confident that we can find a way.

Tanzio, this is a boxing forum.........To be honest, I am fed up of natinalism/racism....What do you think about Ortiz and Povetkin as boxers, neglect their ethnicity.......

Povetkin's style is tailor-made for Ortiz to counter him all night long, so I'd favor Ortiz to beat him, probably by stoppage. Won't be surprised though if Povetkin scores late round came from behind KO/TKO victory.

I like them both. I think that they are both coming to the end of their capacity to compete at world level. I doubt that either could stop the other. I think that it would be a close decision likely shading Povetkin if it takes place in Russia. In America? Who knows?

I would like to see the fight in UK, Hearn is capable to do it properly.

Povetkin has never been stopped, by nobody ever, not even in his youth. I expect Povetkin to win, he might lose some of the earlier rounds, but win all the later ones.

I'd fancy the pre-Atlas version of Povetkin to outpoint Ortiz close but clear, and the version that emerged directly after the Wlad humiliation and before this layoff to win by KO in a hard battle. The more sluggish and careful Povetkin in between those two versions loses by three or four rounds.

What version we will get in 2017 I don't know yet.

2017 Ortiz looks bad, slow and without power punch.

2017 Povetkin we'll see in Dec 17th, if noone will get busted...

What casual ever heard about Povetkin since Wlad wiped his ass with him at 2013??? What network translated his fights from Moscow???
Maybe in Germany someone remember him from his Sauerland days, but in UK and/or US???
And if US casuals were interested in Ortiz, he was still under Golden Boy...

It's better to ignore Biggie, he simply doesn't know and understand much about boxing and he thinks everybody else doesn't.
