Not quite as bad as that but he did quote a few 'passages'.

Good programme that. I missed the first 10 minutes, but I find his conversion interesting. He's been through a lot. Seems like a great bloke.
Re: Fern Britten meets......Nigel Benn
He has found god fair play to him, looks like his is living a good life.
Re: Fern Britten meets......Nigel Benn
My mate text me about this earlier but I was still lying in ma wanking chariot!

I think people are being a little bit harsh. Fair enough- you might not be into religion, you've probably also not left somebody in a near on vegetative state either though.
It's understandable why he might clutch onto religion like that.

Simple fact is Benn seems to be a happy, healthy and upstanding contributing member of society.. A decent husband and good dad!
If 'God' helped attain this happy state of affairs ( pardon the pun) who are any of us to knock that?!
Religious devotion can give folk the kind of of mindful structure they need, certainly it seems Mr. Benn has benefited from his faith as has his wife and children .
Would you rather be reading about his latest drink n drug binge or how he's attacked some holiday maker in a bar in Tenerife?!

It was a good little watch that. Always warmed to Benn both as a fighter and a person. Glad he's found peace. Looks in good nick still too.

It took a strong and "determined" man to "best" him in the ring

I get what you are saying but surely there has to be other topics to talk about that God! Effing hell the blokes served in the armed forces surely thare a re a few stories about that or about how his DJ'ing went. No one can sit in a chair and talk about god all the time, it becomes boring and unbelieveable.lefty wrote:I think people are being a little bit harsh.
