Is Bellew out of order?
He seems to be personalising his fight with haye.
Do you think his comments about Haye's hair (which is his natural hair), finances and home life is unfair? Or is it fair game as he is trying to get under Haye's skin.
It feels a bit sneaky to me getting inside info and airing it in public. If Haye did that, Bellew would go banana's.

Bellew is a sneaky f**kin b*stard and i think its saying this type of stuff has got nothing to do with sport,he is dragging hayes personal life through the mud with no evidence of it,the thing is bellend thinks he is a likeable person but i havent found anyone around merseyside that likes this blurt,he is an insult to real athletes,i hope bellend gets k.oed in one roundbig lennox wrote:He seems to be personalising his fight with haye.

Re: Is Bellew out of order?
You shouldn't take Bellow seriously.
I think he gets hyped up & goes into overdrive, but deep down, I don't think he means what he says.
Bellow seems like a sensible & articulate guy when he's not in fight mode.

Re: Is Bellew out of order?
not worth worrying about seeing as none of it is real, its just fodder for the casuals/teenagers
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
Staged or not, Haye is genuinely pissed off and I think we'll see that. Usually the lighter fighter is faster, but I can see Bellew swatting flies unfortunatly.

Me too,he will swing and get countered and end up ktfoSAPFO wrote:Staged or not, Haye is genuinely pissed off and I think we'll see that. Usually the lighter fighter is faster, but I can see Bellew swatting flies unfortunatly.
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
I can't think of another fighter who I'd side with Haye against.

Not sure I buy all the 'deep down they don't mean it' stuff. That seems like an easy excuse when someone oversteps the mark. See also, Fury's endless list of nonsense.Syntax Error wrote:You shouldn't take Bellow seriously.

And then when hate wants bellew will be catching flies on the canvas.SAPFO wrote:Staged or not, Haye is genuinely pissed off and I think we'll see that. Usually the lighter fighter is faster, but I can see Bellew swatting flies unfortunatly.
The hair stuff was funny, the stuff about money not so much, the quip about Hollywood was cringe worthy given that bellew is better know as tricky Ricky the guy in a rocky film that loses or should lose instead of his boxing ability.
I can't wait for when they do the gloves are off because it will be lots of you rat, I carry pawah and I'm deadly from bellew, it will be that much they won't need haye or nelson.
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
Its all for selling the fight. I said it before, its a money fight and for both parties. But especially for Bellew. This is his only chance for a big PPV event before he sails into the sunset. It is he who is "desperate" for the cash. Haye still has Joshua payday. Just wait an see, Bellew will retire after this fight. And we wont hear the end of Eddie bragging how Bellews future is secure forever.
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
It may be Bellew's biggest payday but that's not to say he can't earn a penny again if Haye beats him. He'd drop down to cruiser where he's still a world champion and can still earn decent money at that level. How much will he have got for the Flores fight? It won't be Haye money of course but lets not pretend it's next to nothing.Tarkus wrote:Its all for selling the fight. I said it before, its a money fight and for both parties. True - there are people posting on the Liverpool Echo that they hope he gets beat.thechump wrote:Bellew is a sneaky f**kin b*stard and i think its saying this type of stuff has got nothing to do with sport,he is dragging hayes personal life through the mud with no evidence of it,the thing is bellend thinks he is a likeable person but i havent found anyone around merseyside that likes this blurt,he is an insult to real athletes,i hope bellend gets k.oed in one roundbig lennox wrote:He seems to be personalising his fight with haye.

People like Boomer don't like it up 'em - typical gobshite bully mentality.
C'mon the Hayemaker
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
My feeling is that he doesnt want it any more. Man can't go on forever. Otherwise he would have continued with Cruiserweight busyness, he did not have to call out Haye. Bellew is tired and wants to cash out.dirk2686 wrote:Tarkus wrote: It may be Bellew's biggest payday but that's not to say he can't earn a penny again if Haye beats him. Re: Is Bellew out of order?
This is exactly what happens. Both get a ppv payday, Bellew drops down to defend at cruiser. Haye goes on to a title shot. It's a free payday for both really unless Haye loses then he has nowhere to go.dirk2686 wrote:It may be Bellew's biggest payday but that's not to say he can't earn a penny again if Haye beats him. Not at all.
Pretty sure that in 2 years time, Haye and Bellew will meet in some fancy beach bar, sit in their deckchairs sipping cocktails..
T 'B' B: "Enjoying your retirement Dave?"
D 'H' H: "Sure am. Hey Tony, remember that time you pretended you hated me and convinced people you'd "die trying to smash my head in'? "
T 'B' B "Yes mate - made us a cool £1m each - 10x times what I was gonna get for a tricky defence against Olegnyz Driznicckzyzz - another Pina Colada ?"
D 'H' H "Don't mind if I do Tone - cheers"

Re: Is Bellew out of order?
It's no worse than the stuff Haye said about Wlad. They're all big boys, I'm sure they can cope with a few childish insults.
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
He had two options. Continue at cruiserweight, or put that on hold and have one fight which makes him more money than he could get in any CW fight, but which may not be available in six months/a year. Bellew could have taken the Haye fight and the money now, or risked it never happening.Tarkus wrote:My feeling is that he doesnt want it any more. Man can't go on forever. We all know it's a money fight, but Bellew would have been insane not to take it. He can still drop to 200 and carry on like nothing happened, which at that weight has essentially been the case.
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
Think I read somewhere they are guaranteed £3m each with more depending on how the PPV sells.tobyh5 wrote:

Re: Is Bellew out of order?
I don't like boxing being brought down but at the same time I don't blame the fighters for making as much of it as they can.
Bellew gave an amazing performance in the first Cleverly fight. He comes across as a decent bloke who uses his mouth to promote himself...no different to Haye.
Whatever we think those casual fans who love the rivalries make the sport transcend what it is...
I too think the bigger man will win.
I expect Haye to roll the die against Joshua... If he gets a 1 to 5 he's carried out of there... If he rolls a 6 he's the new champ.
Haye's lost his mobility. But he can still crack. And he can't evade an opponent like he did with Wlad. He will have to try an win a shoot out...
Good luck to Tony, Haye and AJ with their careers.

Re: Is Bellew out of order?
Bellew is embarassing,
He tries to attack Haye (or at try to make out that was his intention) at ringside. Call him a bitch at every oppurtunity ,PUSH him at the head to head then cry when he got a little clip.
Whose the bitch now Tony?

I still can't believe this massacre is on PPV! I hope BN and BT fornicate Sky hard in the balloon knot next year! Pack of pudenda!

That's exactly why I find him all the more intolerable. He doesn't have to be that person... he chooses to be.
Some people are just dicks, he goes out of his way to put that on
Bleuch!
Re: Is Bellew out of order?
Haye called Valuev "the ugliest thing I have ever seen".
