Chisora vs Whyte Betting - Why is Whyte so odds on ?

Post by SAPFO »

The odds at the moment are approx:

Chisora 5/2 (3.50)

Whyte 3/10 (1.30)

Who has Whyte beat to suggest he is a class above Chisora? Chisora has mixed at a much higher level. 50% of the Chisora that beat Helenius, or the one that fought Vitali, wins this. Is the betting based on the unpredictability of Chisora's conditioning or what, he's weighed-in the same as the V Klitch fight if I read it right which suggests he's 'in shape'.

Bookies have got got wrong lately on boxing, this may be free money. It's all down to how DelBoy has approached it for me.

What do you reckon ?

It's based on Whyte landing a punch against Joshua, who is alledgely the sum of all the strengths of Joe Louis, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, Larry Holmes, Pernell Whitaker, Roy Jones Jr, Sam Langford, Frank Bruno, Archie Moore, Max Baer, Jack Johnson, Larry Holmes, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Naseem Hamed, Rocky Marcino, Willie Pep, Evander Holyfield, Butterbean, Wladimir Klitschko and Muhammad Ali, or something.

Is it not more based on what people will be betting rather than who they think will win?

I think your right the betting could be a lot closer. They must see Chisora as the fighter on the way down I've not been that impressed with Whyte since the Joshua fight. I'll be sticking Chisora on a few accies defo.

Whyte hyped up seems to be the reason why, I'll risk a couple of quid on Chisora winning by KO

Think Whyte will win, Chisora looks like a man under pressure from the press conferences

The odds for to Chisora win by KO in the 11th and 12th are 100/1

I've stuck a tenner on him to win on points at 6/1 and a cheeky couple of quid on round 11. Won't miss it really if he loses but I think he's got a good chance and the odds make it worth a little flutter.

If Chisora turns up tonight and turns the clock back, he'll win. I think the very best of Del Boy beats anything Whyte has shown us so far. Whyte is getting hyped based on the Joshua fight, where he got poleaxed, and seemingly based on his own sparring stories of bashing everyone up despite only taking up boxing that morning etc

Chisora has looked shopworn for a while now. Odds are spot on. Whyte probably wins a decision.

At 5/2 chisora is definitely overpriced. He's fought a hell of a lot better opponents and if he's trained, his stamina will be significantly better than White's.

Problem is thought that from a betting point, chisora is unpredictable re condition and attitude and therefore unreliable

Odds look wide to me Chisora has a way superior resume, but the deciding factor is Whyte looks on the way up, Chsora definitely on the way down.

WHo cares about resume when the guy who's fought it looks little like the guy who fought them?
