Least important boxing question of 2016

Post by olij999 »

I enjoyed the Christmas edition of Boxing Monthly, particularly the obscurity of the cruiserweight crossword (am looking forward to the strawweight one in 15 years' time if the theme continues). But does anyone actually use the calendar that comes free with the Christmas issue every time? I've been buying BM since it started, and think they have done the calendar most years, but it's always seemed an oddity to me. If you do use it, please explain what I'm missing here...

I do.

I always buy the year end issue just for the calendar.

I love to know what theme the calendar will have & I love all the historical date marks for fights or boxers birthdays.

When I subscribed I did use the calendar. Was always good to have the bloody faced pictures hanging up in the office and asking people to look at it for my availability.

I'm fact, I may subscribe again for that reason only

A girl I was dating at the time once picked it up after I'd bought it and played a game with me: She showed me the photo with each month and I could name the fighter, the opponent, the weight and the title fought for in every photo.

She was weirdly impressed.

I have the calendar hung up at my desk at work...have done for about 6 or 7 years now.

Thanks for the responses! Clearly I am not creative enough with the calendar. Love the Napoleon Dynamite approach to impressing girls, and the very practical use of dissuading people from booking work meetings - :salut:

The least important question on the forum was "Will Malta take over form the BBBoC" :TU:
