Izu Ugonoh Could Replace Szpilka as Breazeale's Opponent On Feb 25th
Organizers are seriously considering replacing Polish heavyweight Artur Szpilka with fellow Pole Izu Ugonoh as Dominic Breazeale’s opponent for a nationally televised February 25 fight.
The Szpilka-Breazeale bout, a 10-rounder, is supposed to be part of a free FOX broadcast that’ll feature a title defense by unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in the main event at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
But the word is that FOX executives are concerned about airing a bout between two heavyweights coming off knockout defeats.
A final decision is expected soon, but Ugonoh is eager to supplant Szpilka and get great exposure on American television. Wilder will fight Poland’s Andrzej Wawrzyk.

Re: Izu Ugonoh
I do not understand Fox's position. It makes no sense. This is a good fight. Both fighters lost to current world champions. It's like saying not to make Brook-Khan because they're both coming off the back of defeats.Like a Boss wrote:Izu Ugonoh Could Replace Szpilka as Breazeale's Opponent On Feb 25th
