BT schedule

Seemingly a big press conference this week from Warren and BT announcing a series of shows for the first quarter / third of this year.

Obviously a couple of bills announced already and the Queensberry stable has been recruiting from the amateurs of late. What can we expect for Franks headline guys though? Anyone heard anything re the likes of BJS, Liam Smith, Williams, Skeete, Flanagan, Hughie, Langford, Butler, Tete, Conlan, etc?

Rumours of:

BJS vs Langford easy mandatory to arrange for BJS,

Smith vs Williams for the vacant WBO (Williams put on social media recently a big announcement coming soon)

Hughie vs Parker seems likely

Conlan is headlining in Belfast 18/2 opponent TBA

Catterall vs Nurse would be an easy one to make.

Apart from those not heard much else regarding their stable, needs some big cards to compete with what Matchroom/Sky have put together early doors.

With the 100 million contract this is hardly uping their game. If they are the announcements nothing has changed. Sky is steam rolling them so far. Announcing first quarter in middle January is a bit strange too

The Irish Sun was reporting yesterday that Michael Conlan's debut is to be on BT Sport (St Patricks day from Madison Square Garden so expect it to be a big card)

don't think it's going to be that big a card mate, Golovkin Jacobs is there the day after. Micks debut is at the Theater I believe

Oh yeah of course I never double checked the dates sure they'll use this as a sort of prelude to Golovkin/Jacobs the next day then won't they.

The Theatre's still pretty big though isn't it? Suppose they'll get a couple of 'Irish' fighters on and fill it with Irish.

Billy Joe has tweeted today that he's lost some of the buzz for boxing and may pack it in.

That might suggest somethings fell through though.

think it holds about 5,000 so will still be a pretty lively debut especially on Paddys day! Arum should aim to get Barnes & Taylor on it

I saw that. He said something about quitting whilst he's at the top.

Obviously realised he'll never beat headlining at the Paisley Leisure Centre.

This picture suggests BJS might be training with Booth, good match?

I think it could be a good thing for him, and hopefully leads to a little more activity against some top level opposition.

Was just reading that Goldenboy Promotions have signed a multi year international broadcast deal with ESPN. The first show under the deal will be broadcast on the 23rd March. ESPN will show a total of 18 shows under the deal in 2017.

It will be interesting to see if BT Sports show these events live in the UK on their ESPN channel. The exclusive UK broadcast deal between Goldenboy and B0xnati0n would have in the past probably caused some issues however seening that BT and Frank allegedly are in cahoots I can't see that being a problem. BT already show the PBC on ESPN shows live from the States so I'm fairly certain they'll pick up the Goldenboy shows too.

BT and B0xnati0n are holding a press conference tomorrow to confirm the date their deal kicks off which will see BT Sports subscribers getting access to the B0xnati0n channel at no additional cost. They will also be announcing some upcoming fights for the next few months. B0xnati0n generally show around 65 card per year. If BT Sports also show the 18 Goldenboy shows on their ESPN channel, and the 12 planned PBC on ESPN shows, your subscription to BT Sports is going to give you 95 live fight nights! That's nearly 2 per week for the rest of the year.
