Kid Galahad moves to Featherweight – Promises Domination

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Former European, Commonwealth, and British super bantamweight champion Kid Galahad has made the step up to 126lbs.

The Qatari-born Sheffield-based slickster has made the move due to the large number of big names at featherweight, beginning with Ghanaian former bantamweight champ Joseph Agbeko.

The fight plays out on the undercard of the pay-per-view Quinlan v Eubank card in London this coming Saturday.

The brash 26 year old intends to make an impact at a weight which also includes Belfast’s former WBA champ Carl Frampton. Indeed Galahad has predicted that he will clean up at 126lbs and retire undefeated.

Galahad, who last year returned from a drugs ban, said that “I’m a natural and I can go up or down as it is only a few pounds. It makes sense to fight at featherweight because that’s a hot division right now and I want to clean it up. I will clean it up. There will be only one person standing in a few years from now with an unbeaten record still intact and that is me."

“Frampton has lost for the first time, Lee Selby has already lost and Scott Quigg got beat by Frampton. I’m the only one still with an unbeaten record and believe me, I can see myself retiring undefeated because nobody is going to find a way to beat me. It can’t be done. Why not? I know I’m the best out there. I’m unbeaten for a reason, because no-one can live with me. I either win on points by making my opponent look silly, or I knock them out. I can’t lose.”

He's unbeaten because he's not fought any one near world level and he was banned for two years for being a cheating little pudendum!

If he's going to back up his boasts then he needs to get a move on. Agbeko is a decent name but he's way past his best and shouldn't be able to trouble KG too much although he could make it a bit of a frustrating night and prove difficult to look good against.

Exactly, this fella should be embarrassed coming out with that type of shit. The fellas he's comparing himself too have been headlining world title fights and big events while he's been a support act in a leisure centre picking off journeymen type fighters before getting busted.

I might start telling people how i've never lost in the ring and i'm certain that i've more chance of maintaining that record than Kid Galahad has

Surprising that he didn't vie for a Super Bantamweight title.

Don't know why he thinks that Featherweight is the right career path for him, he doesn't even strike me as a physically imposing Super Bantam.

Don't forget jazza dickens boxed his head off just ran out of steam and his making comments like that wat a tool. Let's see him beat some domestic feathers first lowe or walsh for starters.

He's just making noise. I remember he called out Rigo, but i'm also surprised he's already moving up.

I'm not sure its particularly wise to talk about Quigg, Frampton, and Selby like that when he hasn't had a meaningful fight in four years.

Get yourself a run of wins against opponents with solid records, where you weigh in within 10 lbs of your weight class, and maybe then start bad mouthing.

He is in the bad books of almost all boxing fans; getting his head down, and staying quiet for a while would do him the world of good.

Galahad is going nowhere- and im glad the cheating pudendum. Neither Frank Or Hearn really want anything to do with him - certainly not interms of giving him a contract.

What all these negativity. He cheated, got caught and served the ban. Where is the problem. He was calling out both Quigg and Frampton before the ban. So if he doesnt have a great record that is not from luck of trying. I am sure both of those will continue avoiding him forever. He looks very talented to me and the upcoming fight will show the glimpses of how good he is.
