I contacted the British Film/TV library today. They do the searches of the BBC archives.
I was looking for any film of Henry Cooper's fights with Dick Richardson from 1958 and his fight with Tomasoni in Italy. The researcher came back to say that the BBC had clips of the Tomasoni fight within a documentary they ran on Henry entitled ' Roar of the crowd 'Enery OBE'. This was shown on 30 May 1969.
The BBC website tells me that there seems to be no way I can get a copy of the programme. A search of the website for the programme comes up as no trace.
Any advice?

well if the programme was from 1969 the odds are extremly high that it was "wiped" during the early 1970's along with the BBC's
live coverage of the Apollo Moon landing.

Thanks for your comments but the programme hasn't been wiped because it's still available. It's just that they won't provide a copy of it.
