Will Danny Garcia still rise to the occasion against Thurman like he did against Khan and Matthysse ?

Post by apollo creed »

Many people think that Danny has some underrated skills and the ability to prevail as an underdog. Thurman is a fully fledged welter with good power but he showed that he is vulnerable when he gets hit to the body. Will Danny have a great plan to chop Thurman's body and control the fight or Thurman will be too big, too fast and too strong for Danny and this time Swift won't prevail as he did gainst Khan and Matthysse fights ??

Personally I want to see Thurman winning because he's a smart and polite person that can represent this sport. No hate on Danny because he's nice person too but his dad is a true imbecile.

His dad puts me off liking him as well! I dislike the idiot more than I dislike Broner and that's saying something!

I don't pay attention to that act.

Thurman is more skilled, gifted, and tough than Khan and Matthysse. Up to now, Sometimes has not folded when faced with adversity but he has been hurt more than once.

Danny is smart and has proven himself in big fights that most thought he would lose. He is not averse to getting dirty. But in Thurman he faces a combination of Khan and Matthysse, with a little less power than the Argentinian and a far better chin and footwork than Khan.

Really nice match.

I think that DSG is one of the most underrated fighters in the sport. He's had two cupcake fights that he made difficult for himself but other than those two fights, he's been a dominant fighter. In his recent fights, he's shown me that he now has knockout power in both hands and not just the left. I think that Thurman is in some trouble in this one. This will definitely be the toughest fight Thurman's ever had. Maybe not the toughest fight for DSG when you think of his impressive hit list.

DSG most likely by decision but i wouldn't be surprised with a KO.

I favor Thurman slightly like most do, but it will be a battle for sure. Garcia will definitely try to expose Thurman by attacking the body, but sure Thurman has worked on that too. According to Guerrero, Thurman has much better power. Based on him as a common opponent Thurman should win. Common opponents can also be a foolish thing to base predictions on too.

I can almost hear Garcia's old man crying robbery now, if Thurman outpoints him, which I think he will. If there is a KO it will happen late, as both will be too cautious at least in the first half.

It's a very good fight for sure. I believe Thurman is a stylistic nightmare for Garcia though. I personally think it's going to be a one sided fight in favor of Thurman. Thurman will box off his back foot using his jab and alot of lateral movement not allowing Garcia to load up on his shots and Garcia will have a hard time finding his range and setting his feet to land many meaningful shots.

I just see Thurman putting on a boxing clinic in this one. That's not to say Garcia won't have his moments I just see it very unlikely Garcia wins or even makes a close fight of it. This fight is going the distance for sure.

I hope this happens, but Danny proved to find a way to win everytime. He has some underrated skills and composure.

Usually finds a way to win, but sometimes needs the help of the judges. (Herrera and Peterson)
