Post by Ruthless-RKO »

The stakes have been raised in the already highly-charged junior middleweight showdown between Tony Harrison (24-1, 20 KOs) and Jarrett Hurd (19-0, 13 KOs). The clash between Harrison and Hurd has been elevated to a battle for the vacant IBF 154-pound world title and is part of an exciting night of action Saturday, February 25. on Premier Boxing Champions on FOX and FOX Deportes.

The title become vacant after titlist Jermall Charlo dropped the belt to move up to middleweight to seek bigger challenges in a new division.

IBF looks like a joke compared to other ABC's the way they rank. There was no big danger for Charlo as far as mandatories. No Andrade, no Lara, etc.

1. NOT RATED
2. Tony Harrison
3. Jarrett Hurd
4. Cedric Vitu
5. Marcelo Matano
6. Yutaka Oishi
7. Yuki Nonaka
8. Orlando Fiordiglio

#9 was Julian Williams. I guess not seeing any of the top 8 fight before, I shouldn't pick on the IBF, but one would think they would have Andrade or Lara at least in the top 10....or 15.

Lara is WBA champ. The top 4 orgs don't rank other top 4 orgs world champions.

Andrade, why not. But he's ranked highly with the WBA, seems to be going down that route/

Harrison vs Jarrett Hurd for the Vacant title should be fun. I favor Harrison slightly.

Hurd/Harrison is an excellent fight. Surprised you've never seen them. I'm unaware of the other 6 too.
