Re: A sneak preview of Warrington-Selby aftermath....
The woman in the blue dress did try chinning a few before she got laid out... This was unlicensed, last night. They were at in the car park for half an hour afterwards as well. This really wouldn't happen on a Mark Bateson pro show at that venue. Never seen a rowdy person there, it would be more than their life is worth! They need strong door teams on these shows who the lads respect. I can't see unlicensed being allowed back in a hurry. They'll need a very strong team if Josh goes for gold in the stadium, not stewards. I wouldn't be surprised if Batesons security company are upset with whoever caused this, this is his home venue and has been for years.

It seems to have been made private in the last half hour!

Hate it when it kicks off at shows.
Was anybody at Crolla Vs Barroso? It must have gone off at least 15 times in there, strange considering there was no away support. Must have been United and City fans

I remember being at Halifax for the James Hare vs David Barnes fight. The bill was marketed as Yorkshire vs Manchester. That place erupted for a good half hour. I was luckily sat at the opposite end of the hall when it kicked off. The security staff were throwing people out of the fire exit who were then running around and back in the front door and joining in again. It was never ending. Mathew Hatton was on the card and it kicked off around Ricky Hatton who was ringside. Ricky dived in to the ring to get out of the way! We left early to avoid the car park ruckus that was obviously going to follow.

What fight was this? Looks absolutely carnage.
Irrespective of what the women in the blue dress was doing, you can't justify the savage punch that she was nailed with.
Never really understood a lot of these boxing fans- they get pissed up and suddenly think that they are a cross between Mick Foley/Randy Savage and Sugar Ray Robinson...

I would normally agree with you mate but this bitch is cheap shotting left, right and centre, what does she think? its ok to run around assaulting people and then hide behind the fact that she is a women? bollocks to that. I don't think I would have thrown that punch but I don't blame the lad for doing it 1 bit.lpu03rjs wrote:What fight was this? Looks absolutely carnage.

She is throwing punches at guys from behind. I have no problem with her getting starched.

I agree. A woman punching at men in the midst of a riot should not expect chivalry.TheLeprechaun wrote:chrisnew86 wrote:I would normally agree with you mate but this bitch is cheap shotting left, right and centre, what does she think? its ok to run around assaulting people and then hide behind the fact that she is a women? bollocks to that. If Josh gets KOd in Leeds by Selby at Elland road it will be absolute hell. They will need heavy police presence for that fight if it happens.
I remember when Josh fought Rendall Munroe in Manchester just before he started headlining Leeds Arena. The Leeds fans Wrecked the place.

I was there. It was the last arena show I went to.DannyMCR wrote:Hate it when it kicks off at shows.

The undercard was absolutely dreadful and there were massive gaps between fights.
Crollas fans whilst to me didn't seem to be fighting people but there were a lot of lads out of it on drugs in the toilets hanging United songs.
Put me off going back. Been to a few Crolla fights and had no problems.

As a fellow Selby supporting Welshman, I'll be right alongside you. We can recreate the scene from Zulu and sing Men of Harlech to counter Marching on Together just before the Leeds fans attack us.PredatorHayds wrote:As a Selby supporting Welshman I really hope I get to see the Warrington fight as the away fan.

I was at that show, with my dad, and we inadvertently found ourselves in the thick of it. It was a shame as we had the best seats I've ever had at a live show. The mega long delay between bouts - where the unrest stirred as there was nothing going on in the ring to occupy bored pixxed up fans - was because of a delay with ambulance cover. If my memory is correct we were all twiddling our thumbs for more than an hour. As usual for a boxing show the security couldn't really deal with the trouble. When it errupted around my and my dad we went running for cover. Nasty stuff, some of it.Old Jack J wrote:I remember being at Halifax for the James Hare vs David Barnes fight. There was a little black lad with an Arsenal (of all things) shirt on who must have been kicked out the fire exit 3 or 4 times but kept running around the front and kicking it off again. As I said I was very fortunate to be at the other corner so had a good view of the boxing and of the riot. There were a lot of people hurt from what I heard the next day. That's the worst kick off I have ever seen.JimJim2009 wrote:I was at that show, with my dad, and we inadvertently found ourselves in the thick of it.
