Yes he was in the London Metro paper a few weeks ago, still doing his fitness classes ( some type of boxing coaching is part of it ) He's billed as "former top middleweight who sparred with Tommy Hearns."
Errol looked the real thing in the mid 80's - hottest property in British boxing for awhile. He was quickly written off as having a glass jaw after a few defeats, but I often wonder how he won all those amateur titles if he was that fragile/
Did it just happen overnight or what?

I believe Errol had too many fights as an amateur and the wear and tear thus hit him quickly as a pro. He won four national schoolboys, two junior ABA, two NABCs, a senior ABA title and a European junior gold. He also boxed for England and Young England.MightyWarrior wrote:Yes he was in the London Metro paper a few weeks ago, still doing his fitness classes ( some type of boxing coaching is part of it ) He's billed as "former top middleweight who sparred with Tommy Hearns."

He was still relatively fresh in his early pro days but after that war with Kaylor was basically a spent fighter and that often shows in the chin area.
