Looked to me a fix to let the fight go the distance.
Bellew stopped putting any weight on his punches, his precision and speed went to shit, and he was backing off on a basically defenseless opponent.
There's some funny business going on with the British fight scene. Has been like this for years.
And somebody should explain to Haye steroids fragilise tendons...
Why did Bellew stop fighting after Haye got injured?

Bellew boxed in order to take away any chance for Haye's desperately swung hail Mary type punches to land, since David himself was clearly prevented from being able to box due to the injury.

After Haye's leg went.. Bellew tried his best to unload.. I think he simply tired himself out..

Bellew was tired and he tried to make Daffy tired from start of, he only hitted right after Daffy himself tried to hit him, but since Daffy didn't move any more neither did Bellew, it's all quite logic actually.

On the basis that Haye could barely put any pressure on his right foot, i couldn't believe that Caldwell wasn't encouraging Bellew to get in close and lean on him at any given opportunity. I found this very strange.

BBC reporting that Tony Bellew claims to have broken his hand in round 2 or 3.
