Sherrington v Mitchell

Post by fox »

Just read the results and it looks like Mitchell stopped Les in the 4th. It might be time for Les to call it a day. A few posters on here were right about the outcome. I was hoping Les could turn back the clock but wasn't to be. Great bloke and had a pretty good career. Not many of us can say they had a crack in America on a reasonably big stage.

5 years ago people were calling for Les to retire, and yet he's still fighting at almost 40, being ko'd for the 16th time, and 7th time in his last 8

they are just sanctioning a punching bag by letting him continue. imagine if he takes a serious injury........certainly couldnt say that there was nothing else that could've been done

Three fights for Les at one per year and KO'd early in all three.

He needs to give it away, and his last two fights have been in Queensland, a state where anything goes.

Someone may have to step in and make the decision for him. I don't expect that matchmakers or promotors have the fighters best interest at heart. They will never self regulate, it's been proven time and time again.

Us and so did the promotors know that the bout was a bad look, so much that it was excluded from Foxtel's coverage of the card starting at 5:30pm before the pay-per-view kicked in at 7pm
