Why Rigondeaux still is the best/second best boxer

Post by Jip »

in terms of record, sure aint up there with thurman or GGG who fought good names in reacent time.

but now lets look it at the talent side of it. in rigos division there arent interresting names, no stars, no nothing, only b class guys who would get ridicouled by rigo. now all are gonne say he is boring, well lara is, floyd was boring, but all 3 have a rare combination of physical ability and skills and super hard to beat, you dont get unbeaten pro and olympic gold medalist by being a chump.

lets say rigo would make the right descision (which is sadly think he wont make) and go up to one of boxings best divisions: featherweight.

Leo Santa Cruz
Carl Frampton
Oscar Valdez
Abner Mares
Gary Russell Jr
Guillermo Rigondeaux

with the add of rigo featherweight would be in the top 3 of boxings best division along with ww and lh. and now the interresting part. rigo being similar tall with longer reach than all those guys (except cruz) would have a physical advantage over all. he is more athletic than russell and punches as hard as valdez. my simple question, would you favour rigo over all those guys and if he beat all those guys considered p4p #1 or #2? my clear answer is, he toys with all of them and yes he would touch the canvas but overall techniquly school everybody at fw. cruz would be his toughest opponent, but frampton who is techniquly and physicly infirior to rigo showed how to beat santa cruz, make it techniquly, move fast and in and out.

I think he would school any opponent.. We know Rigo can get dropped, but his defense and movement.. He schooled the crap out of Donnaire.

Carl Frampton
Oscar Valdez
Abner Mares
Gary Russell Jr

I would love to see Rigo fight any of those names.. I think he would UD all of them tbh.
