If/When Wards beats Kovalev in the rematch...
Would he then be P4P #1?
Would you consider him P4P #1?
I see he gets a lot of hate on this forum. I don't know why.. i've never really not liked him or anything he's done..
Speaking of which, I did lose a bit of respect for Kov during his two Pascal fights..

Not even close, p4p AJ and Klitschko, as well as Fury would probably be much better.

Depends on the nature of the victory.
Winning decisively should be treated differently than getting a questionable decision when you were outworked, outlanded, and dropped. Ward will probably be my number one if he scores a wide decison or knocks out Kovalev like certain boxing hipsters predicted (and some will have you believe that he destroyed poor Kov's body), but if the bout is a repeat of the first it's far more debatable.

Agreed depends of the nature of victory.
A good win puts him in a position to be the man though. But previous dominant p4p 1s have runs of top bouts to claim that slot. Kovalev would only be the start of that for me

It still depends on what other top p4p fighters do.

Ward beats Kovalev then fights GGG at 168 in 2018. That'll decide P4P #1!

In case you have not noticed, SOGgy is not Dawson.darkstar81 wrote:Ward beats Kovalev then fights GGG at 168 in 2018. That'll decide P4P #1!

Hunter says Ward can make 168 so that could happenTanzio wrote:In case you have not noticed, SOGgy is not Dawson.darkstar81 wrote:Ward beats Kovalev then fights GGG at 168 in 2018. That'll decide P4P #1!

A trainer says that his top fighter can do anything. What a surprise. Ward isn't going to repeat Dawson's mistake.darkstar81 wrote:Hunter says Ward can make 168 so that could happenTanzio wrote:In case you have not noticed, SOGgy is not Dawson.darkstar81 wrote:Ward beats Kovalev then fights GGG at 168 in 2018.
