It was a good fight - Jacobs is much better than many were giving him credit for and is by far the best opponent of GGG's career. His chin turned out to be fine, he was off-balance for the knockdown and not badly hurt and he took several flush power punches from GGG without going down - I think there's a combination of GGG's power being overrated and Jacobs' chin being very underrated.

Looking at the fight from a round-by-round perspective, it was close and could have reasonably been given to either guy, but most agree that the right guy got the nod. GGG scored the only knockdown of the fight, threw more punches and landed at a higher percentage. GGG out-jabbed Jacobs throughout the fight, Jacobs threw and landed more power punches, though he never really hurt GGG.

Unsurprisingly, Jacobs had by far the faster hands, which he used to good effect in flurries that had GGG covering or backing up and not countering. GGG's punch output dropped from his usual 70 punches per round to 50. Jacobs gave GGG some difficulty with his movement and switches to southpaw, which negated GGG's jab for periods of the fight.

A rematch would be good.
