Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) and Mexico's Moisés Flores (25-0, 17 KOs) have been able to reach an agreement for their super bantamweight championship showdown, which was ordered by the World Boxing Association (WBA).
After both sides informed the sanctioning body, the WBA's world championships committee canceled the purse bid which was scheduled for April 3. This dispute had first been ordered by the WBA in July of 2016.
The parties suffered several inconveniences that kept pushing back their encounter.
In the coming days, the WBA expects to receive the fully exercised bout agreements. Both sides have promised to send them to the WBA's offices located in Panama City, Panama. Once that happens the WBA will announce the new rescheduled date and details of the fight.
