Khan vs. Bradley

At one time this was one of the biggest fights to made in boxing. Both guys were the guys to beat in the 140 lb division and every boxing fan was clamoring for this fight. I personally think now is a great opportunity for them to finally meet in ring, both guys have been sitting on the shelf for too long and I still think this fight creates some buzz and has the potential to be a good competitive scrap. Not what it would have been 5 years ago, but I believe they can both still perform at a high enough level to give the fans their money's worth.
I think it's a fight they could both make some decent money in as well, so I really don't see why this couldn't get made or much less why it shouldn't get made. If I remember right there was a bit of bad blood between the 2 as well.

Nice fight. Doubt either are looking for that sized prize at this time though. Khan should be all over it. Probably the highest level fight where he is not made to do a Bambi On Ice act.
I wouldn't mind Porter v either of these two.

Is Bradley promoted by Arum? Why hasn't he fought for over a year and has nothing scheduled?

Porter v Bradley would be a fun fight. Wouldn't mind seeing Porter chin Khan as well

Porter v Bradley would be a fun fight.
That could be a death sentence for Tim. He already had brain damage after Provo fight.

Not sure, but he has been blessed with three Manny paydays and by all appearances he is a frugal family man. Ramming Speed likely needs not return except for the fight he wants.

I don't remember a time when every Boxing fan was clamoring for this fight. It's a fight that would've always been good and interesting though, and it still is.

Waaayyyyy back in 2011 - Bradley beat Alexander for the WBC & WBO titles... Amir Khan held the WBA & IBF belts when he defeated Zab Judah.
A Bradley vs Kahn showdown then would have literally been for all of the marbles.

Yep, he seems to be a nice guy. No need for further damage. I remember there was a talk about him fighting Canelo, and I saw him saying that he would fight GGG. Good thing he didn't fight any of them.

I agree. He has the heart of a wolverine.

Yeah I remember that. I still don't remember everybody calling for that fight or being all that eager to see it. It was a hell of a good fight to make then, and it'd still be a good fight to make now.

Between the two, I would count on Khan having more brain damage than Bradley.

It was hot at 140

I agree it would have been a really good big fight. Both seemed to slide up to 147 and missed a trick not sorting out 140 between them.
If it happened then, I give khanthe edge in the "boxing", but Bradley was the tougher warrior here and if it became a bit of a dog fight for want of a better word, it's Bradley's fight. Tough call
Now, no idea what level Bradley is still at tbh. Or Khan really

I don't like the fight at all... I see them both as light hitting duckers and this is another non-threatening match-up where they wouldn't get hurt... Spence, Brook, Thurman, Porter, or Garcia for the both of them -- and for Pacquiao too... The little tyke has been ducking big banging Welterweights for years.

He was interested in cotto late last year, when that didn't happen he wanted the break. Say what you will about arum, he's done great by Bradley.

Khan's last fight was Canelo, Bradley's last fight was Pacquiao...and they're duckers? Can't say I agree with that.

My preference would be for Bradley to fight a world class welterweight like Thurman / Garcia / Brook and for Khan to fight someone just below that level like Vargas or Broner.

Back in 2010, the top 4 light welterweights were Bradley, Khan, Maidana, and Alexander. There were lots of posts / threads stating that people wanted a tournament with these four. Then Bradley fought Alexander and Khan fought Maidana. Then people really wanted to see Bradley - Khan. That lasted until Khan lost to Peterson.

Fight didn't happen at 140 because Bradley got offered a path to Manny.
At 140, Bradley was waaaaaaay too rough for Khan.
The Maidana who couldn't jab barely lost to Khan, even after suffering a KD.
Bradley has nothing to prove against a fighter at Khan's level.
Amir Khan has never challenged himself at 147.
He's considered good because he was good at 140 from 7/2009 to 7/2012.
That stretch is in the middle of a KO sandwich and a loss to Peterson.
Never fought anyone at 140 close to Danny Garcia's level.
What a fraud.

Well he fought Garcia at 140, so that last statement is shite! Throw in maidiana and Peterson and you have another 2 close to garcias level.

This fight is pretty much the only high profile fight Khan could take aside from Broner where he may see the end of the 12th round since Bradley is not a big puncher. Other than that, Jesse Vargas or J Lopez would be decent too. Khan's options are very limited.

Good call.
Bradley is much better skilled than Khan, but he can't punch & Khan loves opponents that can't punch.
Khan is also faster than Bradley (although Bradley is no slouch) & could pose great problems for Timothy.
I'd still go with Bradley on account of the fact that he's better, but it wouldn't surprise if Khan pulled an upset.

I don't consider Bradley much more skilled, if anything I favour Khan in that area, but physically aside speed Bradley has Khan covered imo

Thanks, I meant he never fought any after 140 close to Danny Garcia's level.
Canelo was a cash out.
