LOLL @ Wilder : 'My Blood's Boiling Right Now - I Want Anthony Joshua!'

Post by apollo creed »

"Anthony Joshua is the man that I want," Wilder says ... "My blood's boiling right now!"

"You put your belts on the line, I'mma put mines on the line. And at the end of it, we'll see who come out clear of the gun smoke!"

"And I guarantee you ... out of all the gun smokes I done been through, I always been that motherf***er with the guns on this hip with the clip!"

Lol, he sounds like Briggs, who will soon have a similar belt, they should fight each other, I don't understand why Wilder continually avoids all the top contenders and earned mandatorys.

Wilder would make $$$$$$$ against AJ...I have to think that, even if he's had reservations about fighting top opponents, he would be excited about the money likely on the table.

But then maybe I'm being too optimistic

Wilder said he wants to unify and, of course, he wants to start with the most beatable champion and that is Parker. If he fights Joshua and loses, his earning potential will be diminished even though he would make a lot of money if he fought Joshua.

If I was to manage wilder I too would be looking at the Parker fight. 2 belts vs 2. Possibly 2 v 1 if ibf strip Joshua, gives him some leverage about negotiations. Joshua is the draw though so the belts he has aren't the be all...

I post this assuming wilder would get past Parker, which isn't a sure thing but he's favourite for the win imo

The flip side is to go after the fight while it's there, guaranteed money. Things happen in boxing, Lennox vs bowe was possible till the McCall fight, Tyson vs Holyfield till Douglas and jail. Don't miss the boat

Would Parker's side go for Wilder if they can get a fight with new cash king Joshua? Unification with Wilder seems like a less attractive option for Parker now, although I say that as someone who thinks he'd be KO'd by both, and should thus go straight to where the most money is.

They do, they even had a chance to fight Joshua, when Joshua already had the champion belt, but chose to fight for a different belt at the time. Right now Parker and Wilder got one belt, Briggs will soon probably get a belt and Joshua got the others, but will have to defend against Pulev and Ortiz soon, or has to drop one or two.
Then we also got Tyson and Povetkin who both got nothing, but moraly earned a spot.

No when you put it like that, and Parker has made noises in the press about trying to build his profile in the UK

The only incentive to go for wilder is his chance to win are better imo

AJ should get him in the ring ASAP, I'm convinced it will be a 2 round demolition job and he should do it before Wilder loses to one of the average guys he's been picking. He was ringside and doing commentary for the Klit fight, if he really wanted it he should have made a bit of noise and called him out there and then with millions watching, I don't think he really fancies it.

That's really not a bad fight actually. If WK agrees to the rematch then Wilder's easiest money maker is fighting Bellew in England. That's an easy fight for Wilder and he builds some clout overseas setting up a fight next year with AJ at Wembley. I bet Wilder/Bellew fight does very well actually.

tbh Bellew would arguably be Wilder's best opponent if they're gonna square up. LOL

Imagine Bellew decisioning Wilder in UK. That would be super awesome. :D :OhYes:

Bellew has good footwork and a pretty damn good boxing IQ. His power is decent too.

It's laughable Wilder is chirping about wanting Joshua right now. He knows Joshua either has to fight Wlad in a rematch, or Ortiz as a mandatory.

Wilder should try to get Parker, and gain some respect and credibility. Please no Stiverne re-run, and please no Bellew mis-match.

I thought the one that King Kong Ortiz is fighting for is the WBA which you have to, by court, go through Fres Oquendo?

I want to see Joshua v. Wilder. Wilder's right is no joke and Joshua's chin might not hold up. But AJ's the man right now.
