Former two division world champion Carl Frampton could be hunting for a third world title.
The Belfast star has been removed from the WBA's featherweight rankings and the sanctioning body has now placed him in the number two position in the top ten of their super featherweight ranks.
Frampton could be looking to hold a one-off fight a 130-pounds while the moving pieces play out at 126 - as most of the big names are already scheduled to take part in other fights.
The champions at 130 include Miguel Berchelt, Gervonta Davis, Vasyl Lomachenko and Jezreel Corrales.
Corrales has the WBA's version of the belt, but he's rumored to be returning in July, possibly against Robinson Castellanos.

Some will say he doesn't want a Quigg rematch..

Seems like he'd be better off to stay Featherweight, but hey it's his career.
Both 126 and 130 are loaded divisions right now so either way there's fun fights to be made involving Frampton.

Should stay at 126. Would like to see him against Selby.

I agree he should stay at feather there's challenges there before moving up
Re: Carl Frampton Heading Up in Weight? Debuts at WBA #2 at 130
Frampton must be having weight issues or he is angling for a big payday at home v Lomassiah. Can't see any other upside here. There are more names and paydays at 126 and his power and speed will be less a factor at 130.

A day after Rigo said he would be moving to 126, Frampton decides to move up to 130
Re: Carl Frampton Heading Up in Weight? Debuts at WBA #2 at 130
Which is unrelated. Frampton doesn't need to move up to 130 to avoid anyone. There is no binding obligation to fight everyone who happens to be in your division. If there was, then moving-up to 130 would obligate him to fight Lomachenko, which by your logic, would mean that Frampton thinks that Lomachenko is a weak-ass bitch. But your logic may not be so sound.Ruthless-RKO wrote:A day after Rigo said he would be moving to 126, Frampton decides to move up to 130

And why would he?? It was a one sided mismatch. Quigg has done nothing to warrent any talk of a rematchRuthless-RKO wrote:Some will say he doesn't want a Quigg rematch..
