Yafai is the weakest champion at 115 lbs right now. He is close to the bottom of the top 10 than most belt holders in other divisions. There is no shame in this. It’s likely the strongest division in Boxing right now with several elite level fighters such as Srisaket Sor Runvisai (WBC), Jerwin Acajas (IBF) & Nayoa Inoue (WBO), Roman Gonzalez, Carlos Cuadras, Juan Francisco Estrada & John Riel Casimero.
Hearn said, he would make one more defence, and then make unification fights.. Now I highly doubt that tbh.. Kal needs to pace himself. It's not a big money division, Hearn can bring anyone over here though from that division for a decent amount. No one outside of Birmingham really know Kal yet.
When will Yafai be ready to compete with the elite of the division?

stuck between a rock and a hard place is kal, the division is scarily stacked but no one out of the hardcore knows who anyone is, plus the money just isn't there for the little guys so do you milk the title or go for the glory and try to create a legacy ?
Re: Kal Yafai vs. The Elite of 115 lbs
Eddie Hearn claims that he'll consider matching Kal Yafai against someone like Roman Gonzalez in a couple of fights time.
I'd like to see more of his fights before I can commit to saying how he'd fare against the very best 115lb-ers. Whilst he looks very good, he is competing in a pretty stacked division.
