Kell Brook to weigh the same against Spence Jr. as he did for the Golovkin fight!

Post by Enlightened-One »

According to Kell Brook's trainer, Dominic Ingle, the Brit will enter the ring against Errol Spence Jr. weighing roughly the same as he did when he fought Gennady Golovkin, which of course was a middleweight contest. :o

Brook and Spence are probably both going to weigh about 157-9 on fight night.

As far as fight night he will weigh the same as the G3 fight? If so, that is a lot of re-hydration.

I dont think todays weigh-in is the toughest part of the weight making process for Brook. I actually believe tommorows weigh-in is going to be the most problematic possibly.

The IBF rules state that you cant rehydrate more than 10lbs over the 147lb weight limit on the morning of the fight.

I think thats going to be Brooks biggest challenge.

Kell Brook was 153.8lbs on the 5th May. Two days ago he weighed 148.2lbs and his official weight today was 146½lbs.

Tomorrow morning, Kell is an experienced pro and should make the IBF's morning of the fight 157lbs weigh-in limit with relative ease and will probably enter the ring against Spence Jr. weighing around the 165lbs mark.

If he weighed the same as he did versus Triple-G he'd rehydrate 29 pounds... So he's coming down 13 pounds and will weigh the SAME?!? FUHK man.

I've seen 26 pounds, but I've never seen more. I was always a Heavyweight and never had to make weight.. I don't know WTF these guys are doing to drain that much liquid out of them for the weigh-in.. I could never do that.. Rehydrate that many pounds and still look trim and ripped? That would kill me.

Kell looked in good shape ... too good to be true ?
I've seen this body before, I think it was Rafael Marquez at the Nishioka fight.
Just don't look right
How much weight will Brook put on and be able to go full on for 12 ?
Kell has the experience.

This is a big fight.
