Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
It's been overshadowed by AJ-Wlad, Brook-Spence etc so does anyone care about this fight?

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
I'm having a hard time getting interested in this one, maybe because I dont see Horn having much of a chance. Pac is 38 and his days are numbered. I have no problem with him taking a stay-busy fight but I dont think it will do very well on PPV.
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
I don't give two fukks to be honest. It's a joke fight!
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
If PAC wants to fight Crawford then I'm all over that! I genuinely think Crawford beats PAC with ease man.
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Well that's just wrong. Crawford doesn't easily beat anyone that Bradley can't also beat.Stuarty30 wrote:I genuinely think Crawford beats PAC with ease man.

Hopefully we find out mate. I think Crawford schools PAC at this sage.Lackeos wrote:Well that's just wrong. Crawford doesn't easily beat anyone that Bradley can't also beat.Stuarty30 wrote:I genuinely think Crawford beats PAC with ease man.

The time has long passed to blame Arum exclusively about who Pacquiao fights. Pac agreed to it so it must be who he wanted to fight. Call a spade a spade. Crap fight. If this is the kind of fights we are going to see Pac hopefully retires. At least with Floyd we only had one. Pac is on his 4th or 5th "Berto".

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Crawford was a pipe dream.
I wanted the fight that was actually possible
Khan.
Christian Vs Mouzzie
Quiet bloke Vs motormouth
Puncher Vs boxer
And the first KO for Manny in 8 fights
That I would have paid to see.
Nothing against Jeff Horn, I wish him all the best, but this match sucks.

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Pac looks so bad in videos I have seen... He looks very old.
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Punches, footwork and head movement look slow his punches look telegraphed and he has no power.

38 is an age where lots of world-class fighters "get old overnight'"...Sids wrote:Punches, footwork and head movement look slow his punches look telegraphed and he has no power.
Azumah Nelson comes to mind. He was doing really well for his age when he began losing rematches with fighters he had beaten previously. So maybe this is an acknowledgement by Manny & Arum that Pac can no longer handle the top-level fighters.
Pac has given a lot to the sport, so if he wants to go out the easy way I have no problem with that.

Almost 50,000 tickets have been sold so far and extra seats have now been added taking the capacity to around 60,000.
Additional tickets go on sale today and with 2 weeks to go before the fight they might actually sell all 60,000.

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
Boy I had to do a fair bit of scrolling to find this thread I started.
Since then we have heard squeaks of minor promotion for this fight.
PAC looks terrible
Horn is going to KO him
Blah blah blah
And yet this forum is devoid of interest despite Manny bring so popular.
It says a lot eh?
The undercard isn't even very inspiring to watch let alone pay for.

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
A chance to see Pac another time before he calls it a career. There's a very good chance he gets his first KO victory in 8 years here. As far as competition though, Jeff Horn strikes me as a less talented Ricky Hatton...and we all remember what Pac did to Hatton.

Agreed, Crawford would light Manny up. What network arum is going to is more interesting than this fight.Stuarty30 wrote:If PAC wants to fight Crawford then I'm all over that! I genuinely think Crawford beats PAC with ease man.

I hope Horn gets the upset. Aside from that, I have no interest in this fight. Pac will go down as one of boxing's greats, so I'll at least check the result that night but that's it.

Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
So it's on ESPN, that's a surprise. I wonder if it's a one shot deal or if tr is going to book some of their HBO bouts there. I'll certainly watch it.
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
I'm a big Pacquiao fan, this is a money grab plain and simple. Doesn't mean Manny won't really show his age and struggle, stranger things have happened before, but it's not likely Horn can expose any shortcomings.
Crawford on the other hand, is special. Truly vicious massive talent uncanny ability. No part time fighter is going to beat him count on that. That's one of the few fights I don't see Manny winning.

Pac is (almost) always good value. This should be worth seeing. Hopefully Horn shocks the world ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
It's not to trash talk Horn, who -- who knows -- could turn out to be something, but Pacquiao's the absolute last guy I want to watch on a Bum of the Month tour. With his resume, it's just sad to even think about.
Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
I disagree. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more and who is generally more entertaining to watch operate. Pac is a freak of nature.squiggy wrote:It's not to trash talk Horn, who -- who knows -- could turn out to be something, but Pacquiao's the absolute last guy I want to watch on a Bum of the Month tour. Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
I used to love the old man fights with Holmes, Duran, etc. On tnf. Morales brief comeback and holyfields little run were great too. I'm not buying this on ppv, but PAC fighting on ESPN is pretty cool. I haven't seen him fight since Floyd.squiggy wrote:It's not to trash talk Horn, who -- who knows -- could turn out to be something, but Pacquiao's the absolute last guy I want to watch on a Bum of the Month tour. Re: Pac Vs Horn- anyone care?
The undercard has a number of competitively matched fights at a lower level. Im more interested in those than the main event.
Manny is largely a boring decision machine these days; there's pretty much no enthusiasm in his work.
