Amir Khan
This fight has, for a long time, been looking like one that would get away. Both men are diminished from when it was first mooted. Both have suffered heavy losses. Amir Khan was badly knocked out by Canelo Alvarez last year and Kell Brook has suffered consecutive bone-breaking defeats against Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence. But now Brook and Khan have few other options and finally, perhaps overdue, the two could box one another.
Retirement
In his last two fights Brook has suffered bad injuries, breaking the eye socket on both sides. Boxing is a gruelling sport at the best of times but those injuries will take a toll. Coming all the down from middleweight will have exacted a toll on his body too. After two lucrative pay-per-view fights, now could be the time for Brook to enjoy a hard-earned rest.
Miguel Cotto
Surely Brook can’t keep himself at the 147lbs welterweight much longer. If he moves up to super-welterweight the biggest name for him there is Miguel Cotto. The Puerto Rican legend is due to fight for a WBO title in August and Brook could be a credible future opponent for him.
Manny Pacquiao
With the rise of Errol Spence and Keith Thurman establishing himself, it’s easy to forget that Manny Pacquiao still has a case for being the best welterweight on the planet. Brook could try to insert an English stop on Pacquiao’s world tour but he would surely need to tempt him to a catchweight higher than 147lbs.
Liam Smith
If Brook does move up to super-welterweight a potential British rival is on hand in the form of former WBO world champion and Canelo Alvarez victim Liam Smith.

Re: Kell Brook: Top five next options
i was there Saturday, and after the fight I was speaking to a few locals and was discussing the next step for him. I mentioned the Cotto fight at 154, I think this would be a very good fight, would ask a lot from both fighters and it would be the defining fight for either, the winner shows he still can fight at the top level and the loser maybe has to call it a day - I don't think Brook will go GGG (160) to Spence (147) then to Cotto (154) I reckon Brook needs to fight someone like Jack Culcay, Kanat Islam, Yuki Nonaka - all in the WBO top 10. Then try and get a shot at Cotto's WBO strap (if he beats Yoshihiro Kamegai)
The Cotto fight will earn Kell a lot of money (not more than the Khan fight) and then if he beats Cotto then he has massive fights against Lara, Charlo Brothers, Andrade to make the money he would make in the Khan fight.
Although the Khan fights makes sense and will earn both fighters a millions, I would love Kell to fight at 154 and not even give Khan the payday, Khan has had many offers and has always managed to get out of them. Now Khan can't get Mayweather or Pacman he wants Kell? If the fight can be made at 154, Kell would destroy Khan, if the fight is at 147 the fight will be closer but I would still favour Kell.

He is moving up, so Cotto or Smith at 154 sounds good.

It has to be Khan and get the hell out of the sport.
The challenge is now for Hearn to deliver that fight at all costs IMO.

Re: Kell Brook: Top five next options
I like the sound of Cotto at 154, maybe Liam Smith first as he is well ranked with the WBO, but ultimately Cotto has to be the biggest payday at 154 but probably isn't the toughest fight at this stage.
Re: Kell Brook: Top five next options
Pacquiao should be the biggest pay-day. I know, he is old and partly shot, but he is still the great star.
Re: Kell Brook: Top five next options
Can't see the Pacquaio fight coming off.
He's verbally ruled out retirement. So assuming his eyes are ok then count this out
Smith is a good fight to test the water at the weight and get back winning. I'm not sure Hearn will make the fight as hasn't he only just signed Liam smith from warren? Not sure Hearn wants his new boy picking up a loss
Cotto, providing he still has it, is an extremely tough fight after golovkin and spence. I mean that's a brutal run. It could be a great fight but I'd honestly like to see brook rebuild
Khan, I've longed for this fight but I honestly think fack Amir Khan he's wasted so much time for brook. Unless Kell still wants to whoop him and I accept it's career changing money
