Errol Spence Jr vs ........

Post by suffolkbull3 »

With Thurman being out due to his elbow, im guessing Spence will take a stay busy fight before HOPEFULLY fighting Thurman in a unification bout. Who would you guys like to see Spence fight in his stay busy fight?? I would like to see him fight Luis Collazo.

Who would I want? Crawford, Thurman or Manny. Since none of them are at all realistic, I'll go with a slightly more realistic (but still not very) and say Danny Garcia.

Either Garcia or Porter as they're the best available and both are former champions, failing those two I'd have to say Vargas

If not Thurman then Garcia or Porter. Would be interesting to see how Spence deals with Garcia and Porters styles. Wouldn't have minded seeing a rematch with Brook as I enjoyed the first fight but Brook will no doubt be out a good while with his eye injury. A second fight would probably go the same way but it was a good fight to watch.

i agree with everything you said!!! i would also like to see him fight garcia but i think he should take a stay busy fight against a lesser opponent then fight thurman!

Brook will be out a while and probably moving to 154. After his last two fights, I'm sure Brook doesn't want to take on a tough opponent his next time out.

They said he would box before Christmas... Could use the eye to sell the fight.... I would have won if it wasn't for the eye and all that

If not, I'd watch a rematch. Don't see much potential for a different result, but I thought it was a great fight.

If brook was to recover, get some wins, probably at 154 in all likelihood, I wouldn't be against a rematch. It was a good fight.

I can't see an immediate rematch though

Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Tim Bradley, Terence Crawford

Any of the 4 would be great. I figure we'll get something less than that, but the Welterweight division is deep and has plenty of worthwhile contenders.

Daddy Angel won't let Danny to take beating from Spence. I think it will be Porter if Haymon doesn't pick somebody like Collazo.

Doesn't Porter's dad work in Spence's corner?

Think this fight is a complete no go - Porter and his family seem very close to Spence so can't see this scenario happening

Agreed 100%...the tide started turning in the 7th and although the eye caused Kell to call it a day, Brook was fading from the 7th on, Spence had seized the momentum and was ahead on all cards.

I think Crawford would give Errol the toughest fight of those mentioned but it will probably be a while before he moves up to 147 and Spence may even be at 154 by then.

With the Kovalev v Ward 2 and Canelo v GGG fights coming up can dwarf Spence easily.
I'd bet Errol will take a filler in easier bout to bridge him to the last 3rd of the year and take someone more significant then, unless he's hungry.

I thought the same, evidently he's looking at Garcia, Peterson or porter most likely in November.
