Why hasn't he yet? Maybe he is not confident in an outcome?

Wow, Gassiev/Briedis is 50-50. I'd love to see Usyk come in. First, Usyk/Gassiev, though. I'm salivating at that fight.

I'd like to see Bellew participate in this event.

Maybe he has and the promotion is saving the announcement. As for the outcomes, worst case scenario he gets a career high payday.

Is usyk with arum? I know he has fought on a couple of top rank cards.

Yes, it is K2. With Wlad on the way out and Golovkin getting old, Usyk becomes their main asset, and they may not want to risk him.

Dorticos in now. This thing is looking great!

Cruiserweight has given tons of value over the last few years.

Its looking very good. Will be a shame if Usyk doesnt enter. Bit like when Bute didnt enter the super 6 tournament.

By the way, why are Ward and Hunter talking Joshua but not Wilder who is available ? That would be a fun fight.

The only reason for anyone not to be in this is if they think they're not ready, injured, or don't get invited. Being an alternate is a great gig.

Loeffler says Usyk will likely participate :box:

http://boxingnews.com.ua/en/news/20011- ... rnire-wbss
WBO cruiserweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk (12-0, 10 KOs) is likely to take a part in World Boxing Super Series, his promoter Tom Loeffler told Mike Coppinger from Ring TV.

This is a great news for all boxing fans, considering the fact that WBC and IBF champions, Mairis Briedis and Murat Gassiev respectively, already confirmed their participation in WBSS as well as former two-time world champion Krszysztof Wlodarczyk.

WBA champion Denis Lebedev, WBC 'regular' champion Yunier Dorticos, WBC mandatory challenger Dmitry Kudryashov and former WBO world champion Krszysztof Glowacki might take a part in this tournament as well.

Bellew should stay away, as he would get his ass kicked by almost every participant.

This could do a lot for the ATG cruiser standings. Haye often gets cited as the #2 behind Holy, but the winner could very realistically surpass DH in accomplishments at the weight. The winner would almost surely surpass fighters like JC Gomez and Jirov as well...

If Usyk participates the winner will leap up P4P rankings.

I have to agree here. Winner, if Usyk joins, by all means cleans out probably the second best division in boxing. I'd have the winner p4p #1 or 2 for sure.
