How did Indongo get three belts?? He beat Troyanovsky and Burns. Wait, Troyanovsky had 2 belts?? Where did he get those? He beat Cuenca. Wait, Cuenca had two belts?? Wait, Burns was a champ at 140?? How? He beat Michele Di Random for a vacant title. For Indongo having 3 belts, he pretty much went through the path of least resistance against various fighters who probably should've never been near a belt. It's almost like the universe has been conspiring for a long time to give him easy belts.
So, with that said, it's pretty surreal that this match-up, of all match-ups, would be our first all-undefeated, 5-belt unification fight ever, and it's between these two of all people. It's not Kovalev - Ward, Mayweather - Pacquiao, Hopkins - Wright, Hopkins - Calzaghe, Hopkins - DLH, or anything great like that. It's some elite guy and some marginally-proven, world class guy.
Anyways, I'm pretty jaded when it comes to boxing. So even if this is legit on the calendar, I'll believe there's a 5-belt champion when I actually see it. Until then, I'm assuming some belt gets stripped, some sanctioning fee doesn't get paid, someone gets injured in training camp, or perhaps April Fool's got moved ahead to June 30th.
