Which Brit had the single hardest punch of all time..?

Obviously heavyweights hit harder but I mean Pound for pound hardest punch. For instance someone with concussive power with the ability to KO someone sparko with a single shot.

A few that spring to mind are Big Frank (underrated power), Benn, Lewis, Hamed of course....and of the new breed possible contendors for the future:

Maccarinelli
Haye
Locket (has potential....seems gun shy at the moment)
Alexander
Arther (on his day)

Without a doubt Lennox Lewis, his overhand right/right cross was a thing of beauty. The shot he hit Rahman with in their rematch was one of the hardest punches landed in heavyweight history. It's very hard to measure how hard a punch actually was, but that had full extension and all his bodyweight torqued into the punch, and he followed right through as well with his right arm ending near the ground. It had the same sort of effect on Rahman as the short left which landed on Walcott's puss in that famous photo.

For all his limitations, Frank Bruno was a monster puncher. I can still recall Lennox Lewis wobbling around a Cardiff ring after taking a Bruno right hand.

Jimmy Wilde was a massive puncher back in the day...but that's purely based on what i read, and it was so long ago...very hard to compare.

Modern day it has to be Hamed. He had incredible power. Benn hit very hard, but was aggresive also, and threw a lot. Hamed is very casual and not so aggresive and can end a fight with a single punch, from either hand delivered from some unorthodox angles.

Chris Eubank was a very underrated puncher, when he unleashed the beast it was very impressive indeeed. God that sounds gay.

Yes I did but only has a prospective big puncher for the future. You have to admit dispite being a bit mouthy this boy can bang. Just ask Bruce Scott!

Be interesting to see how David Haye develops, because I think he's a very hard puncher.

No doubt, Naseem and Benn the best punchers we've had in recent years.

Honeyghan at his peak could punch too. Ask Gianfranco Rosi and Gene Hatcher.

just to add a bit of info, a friend of mine who has sparred both Enzo and Haye said Enzo definately hits harder..... Haye throws faster punches from more unusual angles but for out and out power he says Enzo takes it...

He lives near my mum in Fulham, I used to see him sometimes walking down the road with his nob out pissing in the street like a horse. I think he had a bit of a drink problem for a while. He's got a nice house in Fulham though, so I reckon he must have been fairly sensible with his money, cause they don't give them away free with sweetie wrappers.
