From all reports Pac was robbed. Anyone think the decision was fair?

I literally just finished watching it. Didn't score it round by round, but felt it was a close fight which Horn edged. Pacquiao was hugely disappointing and looked a shadow of his former self tbh.

Watched it live on ESPN. Didn't score it but felt it was close. Could have gone either way but I leant slightly to Manny.

Atlas is a f*cking disgrace.

Tim Bradley, despite thinking they were in Argentina  thought it was a close fight but let Atlas bully him.

I bet that everyone who is "outraged" watched it with ESPN.

Pacquiao classy as always but he's a shadow of what he was.

116-112 Pacquiao

I could see it being 115-113 Pacquiao

I could also see it being 115-112 or 116-111 for Pac as I didn't score the 9th as a 10-8 round like many others did.

Poor decision, Pac was the clear winner. Horn is a gutsy guy, the referee almost stopped it in his corner because it was getting very onesided.

Sensible scorecard, I had it Pacquiao by one with a few rounds that could have gone either way, I have no idea where these 116-111 scorecards for Pac have come from considering Horn won at least four rounds convincingly with him probably taking the 10th also.

Gave Pac 10-8 for round 9 but still had Horn 1 up. 7-5 in rounds...

Close fight. I thought Horn edged it. Definitely no robbery.

Yeah the punch stats were severely one sided!

And yes Atlas is a total tool. No idea why he continues to get these gigs.... everything is off the back of training Tyson at 13.

Round 9 was strange - could definitely argue it was a 10-8 round and Horn looked completely done. But then he came straight out and won the 10th comfortably. Clearly Pacquiao put too much into the 9th himself, as he barely threw a punch for the first 2 minutes of the 10th

I had it 115-114 Horn there was a lot of close rounds but I thought Horn won his rounds more convincing, I wouldn't have argued too hard if Pacquiao got it but i'd say Horn deserved it, he bullied Pacquiao at the start and when Manny finally did get going Horn fought it out with him to keep the advantage, he was inspired, Pacquiao looked every bit of his 38 years he couldn't really get going and get momentum, he did show a champions heart to dredge up some sort of comeback and he looked like he may finally overwhelm Horn but Jeff never allowed him to

Massive surprise I thought Pacquaio might get a rare KO but give Horn his due he never read the script :salut:

1 scorecard was too wide though

Interestingly I just looked at Fat Dan's Twitter and he had Pacquiao winning the 10th, which I definitely didn't see at the time. Perhaps a re-watch is in order.

- Great idea to return boxing to a huge stadium fight with no PPV.

As expected, with more watching internationally than in ages, boxing officials gut themselves again. Last two years highlights a dying sport. Horn 75% the aggressor/20% effective with punches. Bought stamina with 3 loose tape cuts time outs and 1 gum shield that may have been legit as manny picked some good shots. Mainly horn clinched/rassled the latter half, but credit for gameness.

Had manny wide, but I scored 3 even rds that would tighten the score for horn. Any remotely competitive fight turns off fans with scoring results, hence boxing in a 2yr decline.

Time to ditch useless 10 pt must for a transparent pt scoring overhaul, but that be like asking the current psychopathic US Congress to write a new constitution. It'd never get finished but the clown show would be endless.

I'm not sure how the punch stats work. Obviously if a punch lands they score it but there was a lot of in close cuffing kind of shots. Pac landed the cleaner shots but it's all about the way the individual scores, I suppose. I had it close. Those screaming robbery all following Atlas, I think :OhYes:

Horn for me by 116-113

He ran away with the early rounds, did all the work, Pac was trying to win on the back foot pot-shotting and really showed his age. Horn had all the momentum, all the work rate and was landing punches also so it wasn't just aimless bluster.

I cannot believe how anyone could score that fight clear for Pac, I don't know what you were looking for but I didn't see it. Close either way I could just about manage, but for me Horn won that fight, I could have even gone 116-112 if I was being a bit more generous with one of the rounds.

Pac is way past his best, 38 years old he had no workrate left and although Horn went ragged from 6-9, he then miraculously won rd 10 and round 12 for me.

Mate,

if you'd watched it live on ESPN you'd understand why they think that. Atlas was terrible.

It reminded me of the Froch Dirrell commentary on Showtime. That was also a close fight that could have gone either way (in my humble opinion - I actually scored it a draw) but you'd think that Dirrell won 16 of the 12 rounds according to the commentators

Qld = bananabenders (due to banana farmers), NSW = southerners, Vic = mexicans, WA = wild wild westerners
Queensland is the name & banana & sugar is the game ;-) But neither where I live

Yeh they are pretty shameful at times Atlas and co. They toe the party line, all big pals of Arum and their US paymasters. Froch Dirrell just one of many pathetic examples on their part.

No robbery. It was a close fight which I think pacquiao edged by a couple of rounds. The only thing definite about the fight is that Pacquiao is a shadow of what he was. Should hang them up now. I'd fancy Thurman, Spence Brook and porter all to beat him now

I don't think he did both fights but I could be wrong.

And I'm not saying he was cheating in any way. Just that he was incredibly biased. He didn't mention ANY of the good work Horn did & would drown out/bully his co commentators if they didn't go along with him. He had his mind made up before the fight & couldn't see any of the actual action, just what he'd assumed was already going to happen.
