Canelo and Pacman are great fighters but they did not put anything great against Mayweather.

Yeah, they did come off as looking pretty easy for him. Maidana definitely gave Floyd more trouble than either of those guys. But, he didn't try to box Floyd. He came to maul him. If you try to box Floyd, you lose by a wide margin.

I agree that Maidana and Oscar came closer to beating Floyd than those two, but I don't think those fights are in the same league of beatings. Floyd completely dominated Canelo in a one-sided affair where it was hard to give the younger man a single round (the scorecards were a joke). On the other hand, many had the Pacquiao fight quite close - the 116-112 scorecards were entirely reasonable and I actually thought Manny won five rounds. That was definitely a harder fight than Berto and I'd argue harder (or at least closer) than the Maidana rematch and the Cotto fight. Don't get me wrong, Floyd legitimately won, but it wasn't the one-sided masterclass that some have made it out to be.

Depends on who's doing the Boxing... Floyd never boxed anybody brilliant or slick -- Marquez was an oldster who jumped 2 weight classes in 1 fight.

Floyd never fought any great prime boxers on a par with Lomachenko, Ward, Usyk, Golovkin, Jacobs, Russell, Crawford, Thurman, Brook, Spence, Rigondeax, Joshua, Ortiz, Kovalev, Mikey Garcia, Walters -- or say the Vernon Forrest who shellacked Shane Mosley in their 1st fight was pretty damned skilled.. Had Floyd faced any super fantastic prime boxers the results would have been a lot different.

The best boxer Floyd ever fought was Miguel Cotto who had a number of losses at that point.. Cotto jabbed Floyd right in the snoot and had his nose bleeding all over the place... If Cotto wasn't so short.. had some range.. and had better skills, he would have beaten Floyd... Austin Trout beat Cotto by as wide a margin as Floyd did.. Floyd never opted to box anyone like Erislandy Lara.. Gennady Golovkin.. or Jermall Charlo.. I'm pretty sure Floyd can be outboxed.

It's easy to say that in hindsight. I was sure Oscar and Mosley would have beat Floyd until they fought.

Listen, I don't care for Floyd either, but the dude fought who he needed to fight. And beat them. And until I see Floyd get outboxed, he doesn't get outboxed.

I think Manny arguably won up to 4 rounds and he did land a notable left hand in one of the earlier rounds. Floyd still won comfortably, but I'd say he had an even easier time with guys like Guerrero, Berto, Canelo, and self-destructing Ortiz.
